    The growth of Cooperatives in the countrywill slow down and about a half of thesecooperatives will experience financial

    problems.

    Of the 28,000 cooperatives in the country,

    one-half or 14,000, will possibly bedissolved.

    Conti blamed these to the lack ofeducation and training and that there are

    very few cooperatives in productionbusiness.

    Production is low since the country isheavily dependent on imports resulting topoor buying power.
