Guy Ligier created AUTOMOBI-LES LIGIER in 1971 and startedracing in Le Mans 24 Hours whereone of his cars, the JS5, finished2nd in 1975.Guy Ligier has then been involved20 years in Formula 1 racing andthe LIGIER team won 9 races,finishing 2nd in the F1 ConstructorWorld Championship in 1980.On the 19th of May 1996, OlivierPanis won the most famous racein the world with his LIGIER JS43 :the Monaco Grand Prix.
Guy Ligier gives now his brand"LIGIER" to the new cars producedby AUTOMOBILES MARTINI.AUTOMOBILES MARTINI is pro-ducing successful single seaterracing cars since 35 years.Famous Formula 1 driver as JacquesLaffite, Alain Prost, Olivier Paniswon their first races driving MAR-TINI cars.In 1999, Sebastien Bourdais wonthe Formula 3 French champions-hip with the MARTINI MK79.The design office engineers useCAD solutions SolidWorks(Design) and CosmosWorks (FiniteElements Analysis), which helps toenhance product quality.The chassis are produced withinthe company facility which isequipped with a composite works-hop with autoclave, CNC machi-ning and a welding workshop.

The LIGIER MK84 is a brand newconcept of inexpensive racing car.Its design combines a very stiffcarbon monocoque, a semi-auto-matic 6 gears sequential gearboxF1 type, with gear change levers atthe steering wheel, and someinexpensive standard parts whichmake possible to get a low main-tenance cost.This chassis can be powered bydifferent engines.Issued from the latest technology,the LIGIER MK84 was entirelydesigned in 3D CAD, which provi-des great reactivity and easyadaptation to customer requests.
