Images I have used and edited

The magazine I have created is a magazine that provides tourists visiting London with helpful information they need to know when visiting the city. It will help them try and keep their figures right down to a minimum as visiting the city can be very expensive, so by using this it will sort of be cheating and often undercutting the middle man and helping families have a wonderful cheap experience in London. To help me do this is will need to use a variety of pictures that I have taken myself at a studio shoot and a location shoot. A few of the images have been edited so they look even better on the magazine in this PowerPoint I will show you the before and after shots of the images I have edited.

I have edited this image to make the image stand out a bit more the image has been brightened and the saturation has been increased which means that the colours in the picture have been increased which makes the image look brighter.

I have edited this image by cropping the size of it, as you can see I have cropped the picture so the bird is not in the picture which allows the viewer to simply focus on Big Ben. I cropped this image so it would fit perfectly on my magazine front cover. The picture I originally took was landscape, by cropping it I turned it into a portrait which fits on my magazine.

Image 3Make: Cannon Model: Cannon EOS 600D Date Time: 31/07/2012 – 23:21Shutter Speed: 1/160 secExposure Program: ManualF-Stop: F/8Aperture Value: F/8Max Aperture Value: F/3.4IOS Speed Ratings: 100Focal Length: 50mmLens: Cannon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS IIFlash: Did not fireMetering Mode: Pattern

I have edited this image so the background disappears and all that the viewer can see is the model. I did this because I wanted him on top of the background so it would give it a much better a professional look.

I have edited this picture by brightening and sharpening the image I have also increased the saturation. I did this so the picture would stand out more because as you can see in the first image it is quite bland and boring so now it looks very good and eye catching.
