Intertextuality • Parody - is created to mock

an original work.

• Family Guy used a reference which was 'Taken'. Family guy mostly do parodies which they tend to mock other films.

• This was a parody because they were imitating 'Taken'

Intertextuality

Hybridity• In Family Guy there is a lot of

hybridity.

• It's an Animation Comedy Programme

• In this episode it has comedy because it's mocking the reference.

• Also it has action because there is kidnap scene and they look for the kidnappers

• Also they have two elements that already exist which is Family Guy and Taken which has been merged together

Nothing New Nothing Original

• Family used the references from Taken to put into their show to make it a parody.

• Which shows that there are no new ideas and nothing is original they have been adapted which highlights ideas are just been recycled

Juxtaposition• In family guy there is

juxtaposition.

• They used the reference from taken but mocked it.

• This contrasted because taken is a tense serious film whereas family guy it's an animation which just mocks other references.
