IBIS MOJO HDR

Page 2: Presentación mojo

Hi mates!

As I said before in this blog I’m talking about my bicycle and by the way I’ll answer a question from an user of this blog…

You know I rather give you my personal opinión instead of a complete analysis that you can check in Ibis website.

We are going to emphasise the main features and I’ll mention some changes already done.

One of the things I like is its 140mm fork and 34mm diameter. This combined with the stiffness that the frame transmit make you feel the bike precise in fast all terrains.

The kashima coat treatment contribute to its quality working, but I admit that other medium/high range forks without it can also work properly…

The frame is just spectacular… It gives an impression of strength and quality which is confirmed when you ride it!

Some people complains about its reduced space for the water bottle, but in my case I always use Camelbak in my routes.

The famous DW-Link system used by Ibis and other well-known brands works perfectly combined with fox rear suspensión transmiting softness and high impact absorption while ridding fast or jumping…

Limbo chips offer you the possibility of changing rear wheel travel but with the original 130mm wheel travel is enough for an allmountain use.

In my opinión is the suitable balance if you enjoy with both worlds (marathon and enduro).

Not always you`ve to choose a single thing…

Not everything is perfect.

The space for rear tyre is limited even though with a 2,25 tyre. This is the reason why my Ibis is completely covered by bike-shield… and that goes worse when it has rained and there is mud…

In return for that, this short distance make the bike faster in technical areas…

One of the first changes I made were the brakes.

Originally the bike had SLX brakes, soft but not very powerful which is the opposite that I need.

I decided to install the new Shimano Saint, as soft as SLX ones but extremely powerful yes…!

And the last change was the RockShox Reverb seatpost with hydraulically actuated remote package.

I’ve always ride without one but because some friends recommended that to me I decided to try it and finally I installed it.

It was difficult to get use to it and now I get benefit from it and I consider it a great improvement.
