The railway business is the original core activity of COMSA EMTE and it goes back to 1891.

The sustained growth in this area over the years has allowed us to offer a comprehensive serviceworldwide, including all aspects of the project development from the design to the construction of infrastructure and superstructure, as well as subsequent maintenance and operation of both conventional and high speed railway lines, underground and tramways.

GICSA (Gestión Integral de Conservación de Infraestructuras, S.A.) is present in the upkeep and maintenance business of all kind of infrastructures with its main focus being on roads.

Nortúnel carries out integral construction of any type of underground works (railway, roads, hydraulic,…) for any section and in any geological conditions.

Since 1975 COMSA EMTE operates in the air conditioning and ventilation field (the cleanroom technology included) for the Industrial and Services sector, applying their own design and engineering technics. The installation typology covers offices, hallmark buildings, pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, commercial centres, airports, offices, exhibition sites, sport premises and any other big building construction projects.

GMF (Gestión de Maquinaria Ferroviaria) delivers comprehensive railway rolling stock repair and maintenance services in wagons, locomotives and auxiliary track equipment for all kinds of customers. GMF has a maintenance centre in Tarragona and provides track assistance throughout the Peninsula.

GMF runs COMSA EMTE’s equipment fleet, one of the most important in the world in railway maintenance and construction. At present the fleet consists of some 160 motorised vehicles.

GMF has highly specialised personnel who run this fleet and also maintain both company and customer fleets.

COMSA EMTE carries out integral and specific maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and industries, as well as of commercial premises, offices and homes.

Among their activities the ones that stand out the most would be: electromechanical installations, exhibition centres, electro medicine, street lighting, transformation centres, stage material, decorative fountains (light and sound), technical assistance and refurbishment of residential and commercial buildings, facade restoration, artistic illumination of hallmark buildings, energy optimization and facility management.
