List of courses - Academic year 2017/2018
Faculty of Economics and Business University of Barcelona
The following pages contain the list of courses offered to international students in the Faculty of
Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona during the academic year 2017 – 2018.
International exchange students have access to all courses offered at our Faculty, regardless of
the study field for which the agreement is signed.
IMPORTANT ASPECTS:
The fact that the course names are presented in English, does not indicate the language of
instruction of the course. The language of instruction of the courses depends on the group you
enrol in; check this information by clicking in the “Schedule” link.
The courses marked with two asterisks (**) have a group that is available in English.
The International Business Degree is completely taught in English.
TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
Please be aware that the following subjects are the same (or very similar) but have different names since they are offered in different degrees. Since they have the same content, you are only allowed to choose ONE of the two when selecting courses. The subjects are:
- Principles of Marketing (Business) - International Commercial Management (International Business)
- Tax System I (ECO) – Principles of Taxation (Business)
- Tax System II (ECO) – Business Taxation (Business)
- Analytic Accounting (Business) – Management Accounting (International Business)
The Faculty of economics and Business of the UB has a high mathematic level; we recommend that you DO NOT choose those courses with a strong mathematic component (for instance, advanced levels of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Econometrics) if you do not have a strong academic mathematical background.
Make sure that you meet the requirements or have sufficient knowledge to take the courses you choose. For example, do not choose Microeconomics III if you have never taken a course about Microeconomics. Don't enroll the same courses with different difficulty levels in the same semester. If you do so, you will only be enrolled to the course with a lesser level. For example, if you choose Macroeconomics IV and Macroeconomics III for the first semester, we will only enroll you to Macroeconomics III.
