The great beer cultures of the world that inspired inde- pendent U.S. brewers—The U.K., Germany, Belgium, Ireland—are now being influenced by those same brewers. While they’re all still brewing world-class beer within their own specific traditions, they’re also adopting styles reinvented and re-popularized in the states. Call it the “Brewmerang Effect.” Meanwhile, back at home, America’s independent beer movement has been the driving force behind the emergence of other artisanal segments—from spirits to cider to mead. We’ll sample a few beers from up-and-coming brewers around the world, as well as homegrown innovations like hopped cider. ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW TO FIND A GREAT BEER!
