The Prequalification criteria’s are as follows: 1.0 The bidder should have experience of completing similar works (i.e construction of building of more than 7 floors with RCC framed structure including plumbing and electrical works) during last 5 years ending 31 st March 2010 . a. Three works each costing not less than Rs.8 crores. or b. Two works each costing not less than Rs.10 crores. or c. One work costing not less than Rs.14 crores. Please note that the Cost of all these works shall be excluding cost of land. 2.0 Average financial turnover during the last 5 years ending 31 st March 2010 should be at least Rs 7 crores per year. NOTICE INVITING PRE QUALIFICATION BIDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-STOREY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING AT
BPCL STAFF COLONY, AZIZ BAUG, CHEMBUR, MUMBAI-74.
BPCL Mumbai Refinery invites Prequalification bids from reputed and competent Contractors
with sound Technical & Financial capabilities, having experience in Construction of Multi-Storey
Residential Building.
The Prequalification criteria’s are as follows:
1.0 The bidder should have experience of completing similar works (i.e construction of building of
more than 7 floors with RCC framed structure including plumbing and electrical works) during
last 5 years ending 31st March 2010 .
a. Three works each costing not less than Rs.8 crores.
or
b. Two works each costing not less than Rs.10 crores.
or
c. One work costing not less than Rs.14 crores.
Please note that the Cost of all these works shall be excluding cost of land.
2.0 Average financial turnover during the last 5 years ending 31st March 2010 should be at least Rs
7 crores per year.
3.0 The bidder should have earned a net profit for last 3 consecutive years and the financial net
worth of the bidder as per the latest audited results should be positive.
4.0 The bidder should have minimum solvency of Rs.10 crores as certified by PSU Banks.
5.0 BPCL shall pre qualify those bidders who have capability to execute quality work. Quality of
work shall be ascertained by visiting the projects / works completed in last 5 years and also
work done before 5 years.

6.0 The bidder should have executed the above work in Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai
/ Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation / Thane Municipal Corporation city limits.
Please note the following :-
The bidder should enclose documentary evidence of successful completion of works as per
Item no. 1
The bidder should also enclose documentary evidence of at least one work which is more
than 5 years old for the purpose of ascertaining the quality of work.
Final short listing of bidder will be based on scrutiny of documents of the bidder meeting the
criteria from Item no. 1 to 6 and Inspection of their works.
There will not be any further press tender for construction of 42 nos 3 BHK flats. The short
listed bidder will only be issued the tender enquiry.
BPCL reserves the right to pre-qualify the bidder or reject any or all of them without
assigning any reason.
Interested Contractors should submit their prequalification bids with all relevant documents on
or before 30th March 2011 upto 16:00 hrs to the following address :
