What do teachers think about CCSS?-

Encourage learners to think deeply

Students are being asked to discuss, comprehend & struggle

If implemented correctly this is monumental.

Agreed upon standards that that can be implemented locally is a whole lot better than NCLB

Reducing literature in schools is taking enlightenment out of education

We now have the capacity for inquiry base learning, social just focused lessons & culturally relevant

pedagogy

• Identify the verbs (skills): What do the students have to do (perform)?
