The new STAR Reading test will be different from the old STAR tests you have seen before.

Questions 1 - 10

The first ten questions will be as they used to be. They will ask the student to pick the best word to fill a gap in a sentence.

The other 24 questions will look different. They will give students a longer passage to read and then ask them about what it means.

Taking a STAR Reading test

• There is a time limit to each question.

• A warning icon will appear to tell you if you are approaching the time limit.

• If a student cannot answer a question,do not have him/her guess. Let the time run out and wait for the next question to load.
