Option 2: Play dough art
Make play dough and roll, twist, pinch, flatten, poke, and

letters/words, sculpture etc.
Focus 1. Play all the instruments again.
Which ones can make a high sound, a low sound and a sound in the
middle?
2. Make up a sequence to play on all the instruments. E.g. You
could play 1, 3, 4, 1, 3, 4
Reflection Which instrument did you like the most? Why? Don’t
have a computer? Use different objects that you have at home to tap
to make different sounds. You could use:
Chair
Table
Plastic or metal bowl
Empty ice-cream container
Container of rice or beads

Balancing on one leg for a long time.
Skateboarding/rollerblading.
Kicking a football into the goals.
Skipping.
Recreational activities such as bowling, golf and table
tennis.
It would be great to see what everyone's favourite activity is;
this then helps us plan for future teaching units to cater to your
interests!

are going to try two special relaxation techniques this week. It is
important we relax our minds regularly to get us in a great mindset
to learn. Lie down on your back. Have someone read you the script
below.

You will need:
Large mixing bowl
Small mixing bowls (optional)
Food colouring (optional)
Measuring cup
2 cups plain flour
1.5 cups warm water
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar Steps:
1. Mix flour, oil, cream of tartar and salt together in large
bowl.
2. Add 2-3 drops of food colouring to whole mixture or separate
into smaller portions to create different colours. You may even
like to mix primary colours. For example, red and blue to make
purple play dough.
3. Stand until cool. 4. Knead until soft, light and
malleable,
not sticky at all. If sticky, add more flour.
5. Store in airtight container so play dough doesn’t dry
out.
Option 3: Recreate a Masterpiece
Reflection:
How did this make you feel?
Which of the two techniques did you like best? Why?
Could you try these at home by yourself when you are getting
ready to sleep?
