With its optimized 4x4 MIMO antenna configuration, this enhanced wireless solution enables seamless video streaming at even higher throughput and better coverage over the much less crowded 5 GHz band. The UIW4001 is a premium IP client / node set-top box designed to provide a no-compromise solution with its powerful application processor, an HEVC 4Kp/60 video decoder and premium 4x4 wireless experience in a highly integrated package. 4K Ultra HD Video The UIW4001 HEVC decoder supports Ultra HD broadcast services with resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 p/60 image quality video. 4K Ultra HD technology enables a more vivid video experience with more detail that is particularly appreciated when viewing sports events on large screens. All content can be decoded at up to 60 frames per second (fps) for a smoother and more realistic reproduction of movement. ® Pause Live TV (software dependent) Using the Pause Live TV feature, the audience can enjoy the viewing of their favorite content after the live broadcasting. When supplied with a SD card, the embedded card reader on the UIW4001 allows to buffer and time shift live content. Wireless Repeater Function (software dependent) The wireless repeater function enables the operator to extend the WAN network and maintain a strong wireless signal over a much larger area. Wi-Fi connected devices such as smart phones, tablets, or IP clients connected to the UIW4001 will be able to automatically use the most efficient wireless access point to stream video throughout the home. Enhanced User Experience The UIW4001 benefits from a high performance 12000 DMIPS processor with high bandwidth memory capability for evolution to advanced services. Its high performance 3D Graphics capability allows for a high-end user interface experience. It can support multiple software solutions including Ericsson Mediaroom 3.2 and MediaFirst. Advanced Security This IP set-top box is customizable with various conditional accesses (CA) and Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions including Ericsson® Mediaroom® security and Microsoft® PlayReady® DRM protection.
