front & back will be accepted only if legible, and Official AKC

Note: The Show Secretary, accepts entries for AKC events in
accordance with the latest Agreement, entry form instructions and
Rules Applying to Dog Shows (rules) of the American Kennel Club.
From time to time these are subject to change. In the event of a
discrepancy in these entry form instructions, Agreement and rules
versus the text within the entry form you sign and submit, the AKC
Agreement, entry form instructions and rules in effect at the time
these entries close will take precedence. HOW TO USE THE ENTRY
BLANK Use the entry blank per dog only if information is exactly
the SAME for each event. Carefully check the block (blocks) for
each event in which you wish to enter your dog. You MUST use a
SEPARATE entry blank if you are entering your dog in different
events.

Attention Owners/Exhibitors of Foreign Registered Dogs If you
are the owner/exhibitor of a dog registered with a foreign registry
(not yet dual registered with AKC) please review he eligibility
requirements in The Rules Applying to Dog Shows, chapter 11,
section 1. The dog show rules are posted on the AKC web site at
http://images.akc.org/pdf/rulebooks/RREGS3.pdf. Most important are
the following: 1. Dogs must be individually registered with the
American Kennel Club by the day of the event to be
eligible for exhibit in the Bred by Exhibitor Class. 2. Dogs are
eligible to compete in AKC events using the foreign registration
for a period for 30 days.
That 30-day period begins with the date of first exhibit,
regardless of whether the dog earned any points or awards. To
continue to compete in AKC events beyond the initial 30-day period
the dog must be either individually AKC registered or by the date
of the event have been granted an extension to exhibit using the
foreign registration. The owner or agent can request an extension
using the form found on the AKC Web site at http://
images.akc.org/pdf/extenap.pdf.

Publication Rights: By entering this show, all owners, handlers,
breeders and kennels agree that all right to televise, photograph,
advertise promote and publicize or otherwise exploit this show, or
the persons or ani-mals participating in it or the results of the
competition before, during or after the event, shall belong solely
to The American Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including
the use of the names, likenesses or bio-graphical matter of all
dogs, owners, handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the
show and no such owner, handler, breeder or kennel shall allow any
other party to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph
of any person or animal participating in this competition. The Club
and its Show Secretary caution all persons entering the show site
and show grounds against all hazards which may exist, including,
but not limited to: condition of the site/grounds,
parking/loading/unloading areas, entrances, floors and stairways,
elevators and escalators, floor coverings, walkways,
tenting/canopies, electrical appliances, cords, and fittings,
exercise pens, and the presence of animals. All persons should take
into consideration this is a sporting event and dress, act and
exercise caution appropriate for the activity involved. All persons
entering the show, the grounds, site and show areas for whatever
purpose do so entirely at their own risk. By virtue of entering the
show, the entrant has indicated their acceptance of the terms
listed in the premium list and assumes all risks involved.
DNA REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONAL EVENTS
DNA: All dogs entered in the ABC National Specialty Show (with
the exception of dogs registered with an ILP/PAL number and dogs
under the age of 2 years at the start of the event) must have a DNA
profile, either permanent or temporary, on record with the AKC or
Field Dog Stud Book. The DNA number must be included on all entry
forms. For the National Specialty Show, dogs entered only in the
Parade of Champions class (Exhibition Only) do not need to have a
DNA number on file. DNA Kits may be ordered through the AKC
website. Please allow8-12 weeks for processing.
“Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way
(for example: left unattended on a grooming table in noose not
attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper
ventilation) will be removed to safety. Exposing a dog to an unsafe
environment, distress or harm’s way is considered
mistreatment.”

SHOW SITE The Show Grounds at this Show constitute the entire
fairgrounds. The show Site will be available to exhibitors after
the Show Secretary sets up Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 8:00 AM.
Building will be locked Wednesday at 8:00 PM. NO DOGS in building
overnight. The building will be opened at 7:00 AM Thursday through
Saturday. Crates & equipment MUST be removed from Show Building
by Noon on Sunday, November 22, 2020. The doors will be locked at
8:00 PM each night. All regulations governing the use of this
facility and all regulations and decisions of the Show Committee of
this show giving club on these days will be strictly enforced, but
not limited to that which is recorded in the premium list. Grooming
& Vending area will be in the same building as the Show. In the
free grooming area, crates must be stacked and there is NO electric
available. EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS will be held responsible for
clean conditions in and around their crates. Exhibi-tors who do not
keep their areas clean will be asked to leave. Dogs may be
exercised only in designated areas outside the show building. Your
are welcome to bring your own exercise pens, but they must be set
up in designated places. Exercise pens are not to be left
unattend-ed. This will be strictly enforced. Dogs found in an
unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way (i.e. left unattended on
a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip;
left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) will be removed to
safety. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs
at all times, including in the ring. Pooper scoopers and trash cans
will be available. Not cleaning up after your dog will result in
action (including a Bench Show Hearing) from the Show Committee.
This includes an complaints received from Hotels. Dumping of dog
food or grooming residue into the rest room sinks and toilets is
prohibited. NO DOGS will be allowed in rest rooms. Dog bathing
facilities will be available outside the building; please do not
bath dogs in the restrooms. Parking There is a 30 Minutes loading
and unloading time limit. All parking will be on a first come,
first serve basis. Extra spaces may not be saved by roping off,
using empty crates, exercise pens, chairs or any equipment. Cub
officials may require that vehicles or equipment be rearrange to
accommodate vehicles. All vehicles will be parked at the owner’s
risk and the American Brittany Cub will NOT BE responsible for loss
by fire, burglary, theft or any other cause whatsoever to the
vehicle or its contents. ABC recommends having an identifying
collar on your dog when it is not being shown. If a dog should
happen to get loose, please contact Show Chairman or Committee
Member immediately. EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE Exhibitors should follow
their Veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free
of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and
have appropriate vaccinations.

same breed for the Obedience Brace class has been removed. The
Regulation change will allow two dogs of any breed, including dogs
listed with AKC Canine Partners, that are of similar height at the
withers to be entered in the Brace class.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE ENTRIES As the judge’s
decision in Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries will
be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the
dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will
be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these
classes. Note: Chapter 11, Section 8 of The Dog Show rules provides
that castrated males may be entered as Stud Dog in the Stud Dogs
Class and Spayed Bitches as Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.
STUD DOG CLASS –Stud Dogs and at least two, and not more than four
of his Get. Owners of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owners
of the Get. Get MUST WE entered in another class in this Show. Stud
Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring
with his Get. The merits of the Stud dog are not to be considered
in the placement of the entry. Stud Dog must be examined to
determine if it has a condition that would require its

The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling
competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are
not professional handlers. Exhibitors must declare their dog is
Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry on the entry form. Dogs
entered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be
marked as eligible to compete in the NOHS.. Eligible dogs will be
identified by an asterisk in the judge’s book, steward’s book &
the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level
competition for the regular show by an eligible owners,
professional handlers*, household members and current assistants**
to professional handers may not exhibit the dog in any NOHS
competition during the entire show. Owner–Handled Best of Breed
will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the
Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, and
winners of the non-regular classes.
• If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled
competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner-Handled Best
of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as
well as the Owner-Handled Group.
• If the Best of Breed/Variety is not eligible for Owner-Handled
competition and the Best of Opposite Sex to the Best of
Breed/Variety is eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine
Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.
• If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to
Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handled competition eligible and
Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to
choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible
Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.
• If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and
non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Best
Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex
including the eligible Winners.
• If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to The Best of Breed,
Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may
choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog
or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.
• If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winner is
ineligible since it was defeated.
• No class dog other that the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch
are eligible to return to the ring. The breed will not be
represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog
competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners competition.
*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has
belonged to a Professional Handlers’ organization, distributed rate
cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as
handling dogs for pay within the last five years. **A current
assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler
on a full-time basis, or assisting a professional handler at the
show or any time during the cluster/weekend. Current assistants
that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age &
amateur status requirements) may participate in NOHS.

KIDDIN’ ASIDE, JH (OLLIE) MEMORIAL TROPHY - This trophy is offered
by Becky Rao of Rao Farms and is to be awarded at the National
Specialty Show each year to the Best of Breed Winner. For permanent
possession, the Trophy must be won three times by the same owner,
not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive National
shows. The name of the winning dog will be engraved on the Trophy
by the Winner each year. The trophy will be maintained by the
current recipient until the next year’s National Specialty Show.
The Trophy is a Bronze Statue of a Brittany which is mounted on a
Wooden Base with an area for engraved brass plates. BEST OF
OPPOSITE SEX TO BEST OF BREED –THE FRANCES A. SAVAGE ME-MORIAL
TROPHY - This trophy is offered by Marvin D. Nelson , Jr. Mr. &
Mrs. Robert J. McNulty, III, and Nancy W. Clendenen and is to be
awarded at the National Specialty Show each year to the winner of
Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed. For permanent possession, it
must won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the
same dog, nor at consecutive shows. The name of the winning dog and
owner will be en-graved on the Trophy. The trophy is maintained by
the current recipient until the next year’s National Specialty

The Pee Wee Class is open to ANY child who is interested in
showing their dog at the Nationals. Participants can be any age up
to Junior’s eligibility.
Each child will enter the ring with their dogs. Adults will be
positioned around the ring for assistance as needed. Each child
will present their dog
to the judge. Each Child will receive a lovely rosette sponsored
by Kala Brittanys. These young people represent the future of our

able to social distance). Signed Waiver must be presented upon
arrival, and one-time and
body temperature will be taken, at which time a wrist band will
be issued to the individual.
Bring your own chairs, preferably. However limited chairs will

social distance ringside in order to spectate.

A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event
Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single
entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial.
(American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC
Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and
$3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club
Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee
will be required for each entry in 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy. $2.00
Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in FSS Open
Shows. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. RETURNED
CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The
Show Secretary will add a collection fee of $40 to the amount of
each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and
credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put
on a cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event
that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or
judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show
Committee.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be
completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, ex-treme
and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public
emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond
the control of the Club or the Show Secretary.
No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all
duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been
processed, no refund will be made. Refunds made for cancellation of
entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00
administrative/processing fee per entry. Cancellations must be in
writing: email: [email protected].
No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which
specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions
or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to
close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be
released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for
judging. Neither the club nor the Show Secretary will be
responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying
exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need
not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone
are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging
rings.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to
assure their dogs are free of internal and external para-sites, any
communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.
The show giving club, the Show Secretary, their agents,
employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or
injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or
property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to
children. PUBLICATION RIGHTS By entering this show, all owners,
handlers, breeders and kennels agree that all rights to tele-vise,
videotape, photograph, advertise, promote and publicize or
otherwise exploit this show, or the persons or animals
participating in it or the results of the competition before,
during or after the event, shall belong solely to The American
Kennel Club and their respective assigns, including the use of the
names, likenesses or biographical matter of all dogs, owners,
handlers, breeders and kennels participating in the show and no
such owner, handler, breeder or Kennel shall allow any other party
to make commercial use of any videotape or photograph of any person
or animal participating in this competition.

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the
right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem
sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of
the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog
judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to
hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors,
governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and
the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of
services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or
volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved
judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or
injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or
indi-rectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in
or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance
thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and
liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the
aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or
damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole
responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the
aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense
(including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law
upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily
injuries, includ-ing death at any time resulting therefrom,
sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves),
or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in
consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such,
injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or
not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been
caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of
their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT
ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTRO-VERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR
RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN
THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS
PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION,
INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY
ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN
ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBI-TRATION ALL
APPLICABLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST
BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES,
REGULATIONS, PUB-LISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there
are varieties for show purposes, please designate the
particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid
color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding
13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds
(longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth),
Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard,
toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy
Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles),
Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in
Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions
of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records,
have completed the requirements for a championship, but
whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed
Champions in Best of Breed competition is lim-
ited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the
dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium
list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is
divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the
particular division of the class in which you are entering
your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight
division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually
owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered
dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name
of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the
date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has
received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is
recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer
application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer
to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience. and
Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog
“All American Dog/Mixed Breed.” Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam
information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
