• Develop set of core competencies as foundation for IPCP among diverse professions (2009)

• HRSA sponsored convened IPEC conference (Feb 2011), core competencies recommendations endorsed

• DN FOA to prepare nurses for IPCP (2012)

Long-Term Goals of IPCP Program

• Increase the number of nurses skilled in IPCP

• Provide opportunities for innovative coordinate care programs for nursing and other professional disciplines engaged in existing and emerging organized health care systems

• Form of a cooperative agreement

• Up to $500,000 maximum budget per year

• Only one application per eligible applicant

• Documentation of established and adequate procurement systems

• Monitoring for all contracts and sub-recipients

• Have base salary of $179,700, exclusive of fringe and any income that an individual may earn outside of duties to the applicant organization

• Applies to sub awards/subcontracts

• Does not apply to consultants, although, they must meet the test of reasonableness and be consistent with the grantee's institutional policy.
