An original summer course blending the real and the virtual world. You will awaken your intellectual curiosity while you develop creativity and science skills.

Do you want to break with convention and the usual social parameters and take a step towards the future? Through the HST Programme, top-rate professionals will take you to discover the Global Sport Innovation Centre or the European Space Agency. You will learn about robotics, how to pilot drones and will take part in different workshops.

1. Russ BillingsReconocido experto STEM con más de 20 años de experiencia docente. Es conocido por sus experiencias docentes innovadoras, entre las que destaca la creación de un aula subacuática de gravedad cero, proyecto que le valió diversos premios. Desde 2009 hasta 2013 ha trabajado para el Dryden Flight Research Center de la NASA como especialista en educación. Graduado en Chemistry/Physics. Secondary Teaching Certification por la Spring Arbor University y Master en Physical Science por la Michigan State University.

2. Jorge Santos MarinaHa desarrollado su carrera profesional en los Mercados Financieros. Más de 15 años en la gestión de riesgos de tipos de cambio, tipo de interés y equity. Ha trabajado para empresas multinacionales y participado en start-ups. En 2017, lanza Coin On Time, empresa que desarrolla proyectos de Blockchain. Desde 2018 desempeña el cargo de Director Financiero en Thermal Cooling Technology. Licenciado en Derecho (UCM), Máster en Finanzas (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles) y Program for Management Development (IESE).

3. Manuel LenceroCofundador y CEO de UnLtd Spain, aceleradora de proyectos emprendedores que tiene como propósito impulsar el rol de las empresas como “agentes de cambio” de la sociedad. Para ello identifican proyectos emprendedores con potencial para cambiar el mundo. Centrado en tres áreas concretas: ciudades sostenibles, agroalimentación y salud. Busca inspirar y apoyar la creación de un modelo empresarial que ponga por delante el impacto Social. Antiguo alumno SEK. Estudió Arquitectura interior y posteriormente realizó diversos másteres.

4. Sonia Betancort Santos Doctora en Literatura por la Universidad de Salamanca. Ha centrado sus investigaciones en las literaturas hispanas contemporáneas, en los conceptos de “interactividad” e “hipertexto” literarios y en sus didácticas. Estancias académicas y literarias en USA, Argentina, Perú, Chile, Brasil, México, Uruguay, República Dominicana y Venezuela. Entre su obra poética, destaca el libro La sonrisa de Audrey Hepburn seleccionado, entre otros, por El Mundo (El Cultural) y la revista Ínsula entre los mejores libros de poesía publicados en 2015.

5. Noemí Mayoral Gonzalo Graduada en Enfermería por UCM y Fisioterapia por la UCJC. Especialista en Enfermería Pediátrica por la UCM y Experta en Enfermería de la Actividad física y el Deporte por la UCM. Colabora como docente en el Experto en Enfermería de la Actividad Física y del Deporte (10 ediciones), con el Consejo General de Enfermería de España, y con la Real Federación Española de Atletismo en diferentes proyectos de investigación.

6. Alfredo Rodríguez GómezMilitar, piloto de helicópteros, piloto de pruebas y examinador de vuelo instrumental. Formación en España y Estados Unidos. Responsable de la organización de eventos nacionales e internacionales del Ministerio de Defensa. Más de diez años de experiencia como docente. Director del Máster Oficial en Políticas Públicas de Seguridad y Defensa de la UCJC. Su línea de investigación principal es la paz, la seguridad y la defensa.

7. David Jiménez TorresDoctor en Estudios Hispánicos por la University of Cambridge (Reino Unido). Licenciado en Filología Inglesa y en Historia por la Washington University in Saint Louis (EE. UU.). Ha sido profesor en la University of Manchester (Reino Unido). Autor de numerosos trabajos en revistas internacionales. Es novelista, ensayista y columnista.

1. Russ BillingsRecognised STEM expert with over 20 years’ teaching experience. He is known for his innovative teaching experiences, including the creation of a zero-gravity underwater classroom, a project that has earned him several awards. From 2009 to 2013 he worked for the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center as an education specialist. Graduate in Chemistry / Physics. Secondary Teaching Certification from Spring Arbor University and Master’s in Physical Science from Michigan State University.

2. Jorge Santos MarinaHe has developed his professional career in financial markets. Over 15 years in the management of exchange rates, interest rates and equity risks. He has worked for multinational companies and participated in start-ups. In 2017, he launched Coin On Time, a Blockchain project company. Since 2018 he has held the position of CFO at Thermal Cooling Technology. With a degree in Law (UCM), Master’s in Finance (Institute of Securities Studies) and the Program for Management Development (IESE).

3. Manuel LenceroCo-founder and CEO of UnLtd Spain, entrepreneurial project accelerator that aims to promote the role of companies as “agents of change” in society. In order to do this, it identifies entrepreneurial projects with the potential to change the world. The company focuses on three specific areas - sustainable cities, agri-food and health. It seeks to inspire and support the creation of a business model that puts social impact first. Former SEK student. He studied interior architecture and later several master’s degrees.

4. Sonia Betancort SantosPhD in Literature from the University of Salamanca. She has focused her research on contemporary Hispanic literature, on the concepts of literary “interactivity” and “hypertext” and their didactics. Academic and literary stays in the USA, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Among her works of poetry is the book La sonrisa de Audrey Hepburn selected, among others, by El Mundo (EL Cultural) and Ínsula magazine, among the best books of poetry published in 2015.

5. Noemí Mayoral GonzaloGraduated in Nursing from UCM and Physiotherapy from UCJC. Specialist in Paediatric Nursing from the UCM and Expert in Nursing of Physical Activity and Sports from the UCM. Has collaborated as a lecturer in the Expert Course in Nursing of Physical Activity and Sports for 10 years, with the General Council of Nursing of Spain, and with the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation in different research projects.

6. Alfredo Rodríguez GómezMember of the armed forces, helicopter pilot, test pilot and instrumental flight examiner. He was trained in Spain and the United States. He has organized national and international events for the Ministry of Defence. With more than 10 years of teaching experience, he is the director of the UCJC’s Official Master’s degree in Public Security and Defence Policies. His main areas of research are peace, security and defence.

7. David Jiménez TorresDoctor in Hispanic Studies from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). Graduate in English and History from Washington University in Saint Louis (USA) . He has worked as a lecturer at the University of Manchester (United Kingdom). Author of numerous articles in international journals. He is a novelist, essayist and columnist.
