Missionary Focus: Pray for our EMMC missionaries and brothers and sisters in Christ in Bolivia: "Fire near Hacienda Verde, Bolivia: The weather in Bolivia has been extremely hot and dry. Fire from a brush row jumped into a forested area near Hacienda Verde. With some hard work from the community men, they were able to contain the fire. Higher humidity, rain, and lower temperatures helped to relieve the situation. Only 30 to 40 hectares were burned. It could have been so much worse. People in Hacienda Verde prayed for rain, and God answered their prayers. Praise the Lord! Para-Church Ministries: Samaritan’s Purse Canada: 'Sending trained Canadian staff to work alongside colleagues from Samaritan’s Purse, based in North Carolina, to assist victims of Hurricane Florence after powerful 170-km/hr winds tore through the southeastern U.S. last weekend. The storm has killed at least 18 people in N Carolina and S Carolina, and forced more than 27,000 to seek emergency shelters. Catastrophic flooding is destroying tens of thousands of homes while threatening many more lives and livelihoods. Hundreds of thousands of hurricane victims in the region also remain without electricity. Pray for safety for residents and for our staff in the aftermath of this devastating storm. We thank you for your prayers and financial support as we prepare to bring help and the love of Jesus to our neighbors in the southeastern U.S. “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.” (Romans 12:13).'
