Often churches are built in units. But, did you

back. Again a

strong challenge was given

to the

Ohio Sing

ers by the chapel speaker

at

i l o t o s u Camp. "Please con sider

preparing yourselves

for

futu re missionary

work

in

Japan",

he invited.

In

Okayama,

a young

g irl from a

blacklisted family in

her community became

accepted by the church grou p as a

re

su l t o f

their

visit. One of their guides, a dental student,

confessed, "Uhen I

began

this

summer

with you I was

an

ag

nostic. Now I see the possibility o f the existence o f an

Almighty

Creator."

There

is

cause for

praise to the

Lord in

the wo rds of some preachers and missionaries.

"This

is the

greatest crowd we've

had

in

my ten year

ministry

here."

"This

meeting

has

broken the ice for our work in the

commu

nity.

We've

uncovered

many

prospects we didn't know ex

villiege."

You

have

heard us

refer repeatedly t o

the

regular meet

ings

we

have been holding in the home of the little deaf

girl. The preacher at the

nearby Christ

Church where they

attend

i s

being forced t o retire because of i l l health.

We

have been

invited to

assist this congregation. Dur

first

meeting with them

coincided

with the

Ohio Singers' program.

All my fears about food,

lodging

and

transportation f o r

the group were removed

as

He provi ded. He used

you,

mission

ary

associates, gen erous

Japanese Christians and

ah

insurance

loan

to

meet the

need.

This

latter,

too, he will

supply.

We

needed not t o worry

about

the language problem either. C l a r k

and Lydia both were wall-blessed with a recall of what

they

had

learned.

They explained

the songs and I preached. We

always had

three

or

four willing students traveling with the

group as guides

and interpreters

for

them.

Fukuzako San and

Goto San, Isehara Christiana helped greatly by going along

and

giving t heir

testimonies. Yoshii San preached

there.

We

must

use

a sentence t o say "A mil lion thanks"to the

eleven,

the very

finest

youth

which

our

churches have produ

ced. To Carolyn Barricklow, Rick Brouillette, Georgia Brown,

Jerry Carter, Jenna and

Lynn

Lusby, Clark

Ctatthews,

Eileen

mounts,

Lydie and Clark

Pratt and Vicki

Richardson

we

say,

"Congratulations

On the successful

completion of your

same.

I'm sure

your feelings are

expressed by the song

which
