The Beef Industry is once again facing a period of change, as cow numbers in North America are nearing all time lows the demand from feedlots and packers are seeing high demand both from domestic users as well as the growing overseas markets! What does this mean? I believe that as feed supplies increase so will the price for our calves but buyers still will demand quality! The Gelbvieh breed will fit in this scenario adding carcass yield and quality. Also the cow heard will need to be replenished and the Gelbvieh cow fits the bill like no other!
