  • General Admission Requirements for Student Teaching Must have communicative competence in both English and Filipino.Must be certified by the school physician to be physically healthy to carry out the demands of teaching.If married, must present the marriage contract.If pregnant, must present a doctors certification that she is not due to give birth within the student teaching period.

  • Admission Requirements for PTMust have passed the EPT.Must have passed all the field study courses.Must have a maximum load that is for PT only.Must have paid the PT affiliation Fee of Php. 100.00

  • Grading SystemTeaching Competencies- 85%(usually higher because PT is focused on actual practice not theory using PT Evaluation form).Narrative Report- 15%

  • On Student Teachers Serving as Substitute TeachersSSC student teaching program categorically states that student teachers CANNOT be made serve as substitute teachers because they are not duly licensed professionals. As provided for by the Article IV section 27 of RA no. 7836 ( an act to strengthen the regulation and supervision of the Practice Teaching in the Philippines and Prescribing a Licensure for Examination for teachers and for other purposes).

  • Mechanics on the Search for Outstanding BEED/BSED Student TeacherOnly student teachers who do not have failing grades from 1st to 4th year shall qualify for the search.Student Teachers who have the highest cumulative ratings in FS and PT in each major/specialization automatically qualify. The rating is computed as follows: a) Rating in FS (40%) b) Rating in PT (60%).

Student teachers who do not automatically qualify but are recommended by their cooperating teacher for valid reasons may be considered for the search by the STS.4. The names of the candidates shall be announced at least a day before the portfolio presentation. The panel of judges shall approve the criteria that will be used.5. The Outstanding BEED/BSED student teacher shall be awarded during the Campus Recognition Day.

  • DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF STUDENT TEACHERSParticipate actively in all school related activities.Notify the cooperating schools in case of absences.Consider/be open to criticism/s.Respect the dignity and rights of the children.Come prepared all the time.Return all borrowed books and materials to the cooperating school before the term ends; accomplish clearance from the cooperating school.

Accomplished internship portfolio.8.Project good image as a teacher at all times by observing:The code of ethics.Proper dress codePunctuality in all activities of internship.9. Recognize and respect all school officials.10. Stay in schools for a minimum of 8 hours each school day.

  • DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF STUDENT TEACHERS11. Report to school regularly in the appropriate grooming and uniform.12. Make accurate documentation(LP, DepEd Forms and CSC forms) of what is accomplished in particular date and time of each group of students per year and section.13. Observe the approved format of lesson plans per subject area and use the strategy most appropriate to the topic and most effective to the pupils.

  • DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF STUDENT TEACHERS14. Prepare in advance the daily lesson plans and submit them for checking regularly.15. If advised to prepare a weekly plan, still opt to write daily lesson plan.16. Prepare a plan for unit/summative test and or periodical test complete with all major parts of a lesson plan.
