Join Guillermo Arriaga as he talks through complex and advanced methods and principles of story, structure, dramatic tension, character development and scene design, giving avid screenwriters the chance to learn first hand from an industry expert. Born and raised in Mexico City, Arriaga first came to prominence in Mexico as a novelist. His works, rife with a trademark sense of humour and irony, have been translated in 18 languages. As a screenwriter he has collaborated with director Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman) while his screenplay for The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones, also won Arriaga the prestigious Best Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The 2015 Raindance Film Festival takes place from 23rd September – 4th October 2015 in
