The quote relates to my life because you “get a box of crayons” when you are born and some get “messed up” and you cant get them back. In my life I feel that I have lost a box of crayons and have been rebuilding it since my dad died and my mom left.

My life

I am 13 years old and live with my grandparents and my sister. I have lived with my grandparents for four years. I am baptized and go to a Christian church on Sundays and Wednesdays. I am devoted to my family and my friends. I never want to live a day without my family or friends in my life!

Starting at Birth I was born on December 8, 1997 at 6:59 pm at

Person Memorial Hospital.. I am the youngest of two girls. My earliest memory is when I was graduating pre-school and my dad was there and he helped me get ready. My “family” used to be my dad, mom, sister and me. Now it is my grandmother, my grandfather, my sister and me.

I live with my grandmother, grandfather, sister and myself. I have lived with my grandparents for four years on January 18, 2011. My sister and I moved in with my grandparents on January 18, 2007.

My grandmas name is Polly Ann Powell Long. She was born September 8, 1949 in Halifax County, Virginia. She has been a very big influence on my life and always wants me to do the right thing.

My “Papa”

My papa’s name is Tennie Lee Long. He was born on April 5, 1945 in Person County, North Carolina. My papa has always worked to take care of our family and he has never gave up on me.

My sister Sharon

My sister Sharon’s full name is Sharon Lee Long. She was born on December 4, 1995 at Duke in Durham County, North Carolina. She is the oldest of the two of us. My sister is two years older than me. My sister has always been there for me and has never turned her back on me.

My full name is Tiffany Grayson Long. I was born on December 8, 1997 at Person Memorial Hospital. I didn’t have the best childhood ever, but to me it was okay until I turned 8. Every since my dad died when I was 8, my life has been a rollercoaster ride. Under circumstances I don’t wish to talk about, my mom left when I was 9 and I moved in with my grandparents along with my sister.

My Pets

I have two pets. Their names are Fluffy and Buddy. Fluffy is a cat and Buddy is a dog. I have had Fluffy since I was a little kid. I got Buddy in 2007. I used to have more pets but most have been given away like the hunting dogs we used to have with my dad.

Fluffy was my dad’s cat. We got him before my dad died. Fluffy has a nickname and it is “Fat Cat.” Fat Cat came because he is really fat. He likes “normal” food like lasagna, mashed potatoes and ham. He likes dog treats too.

Buddy is my grandmas 3 year old dog. He is very spoiled. He answers to most any name. Some names we call him are:

This is Rachel Shotwell. She is one of my best friends.

I just met Rachel this year, but we have became like a sister to me.

This is Hannah. She is one person that I could tell anything to.

Hannah and I have been friends since the beginning of this year. I would trust her with my life!

Three life “rules” that I have and will always have are:

₪ NO SMOKING!₪ Stay on track with God.₪ Stay true to myself.These are good rules because they are

important to me and I want to better myself. These rules wouldn’t work for everyone because lots of people smoke and don’t believe in God.

Letter from my Sister…• Dear Tiffany,• We have had some pretty bad things happen to us, but with so

many good memories I don’t want to know where to begin. My favorite memory is when we went fishing with Daddy, Amanda, Blake and Cody. Well I had a broken arm and was in kindergarten. You were in preschool and Blake was teaching you how to fish and Amanda was taking pictures. Daddy was on the dock and Cody was on the other side of the pond. I was between you and daddy.

• Well, Blake told you needed to watch the bobber and pole. Then you told him that you were watching the blank-blank pole. Daddy couldn’t stop laughing and all you were doing was saying that “Blake told you to say it.” Every time I hear the song Little Moments by Brad Paisley I think of that day fishing. Well I know we fight and everything but I love you and would take a bullet for you. You are the only thing I have left and for as long as God is willing it will stay like that.

Future Plans• Future Plans• By: Tiffany• In five years, I will be 18 and finishing my last year in high school. I want to

go to PCC while I’m in high school, but I don’t know how that will turn out. In twenty years I will be 23. I will hopefully be in law school getting my law degree. In fifty years I will be 63. I want to still be working as long as I can. I want to have a law firm of my own and I hope I could be a District Attorney.

Epilogue

In life, you never know what you are gonna get next. Its sort of like the crayon box, sometimes you could have all the colors and not have black, brown, or red. You make due with what you have and keep coloring.
