OUR STAR:THE SUN

The Sun is the star of the Solar System. It is a gigantic ball of the very important to us because it provides the light and heat for life on Earth.

PLANETS AND OTHER CELESTIAL BODIES

Planets are celestial bodies that orbit around the Sun in a circular motion.They do not have their own light.There are eight planets in the Solar System:

Mercury, Venus, Earth,Mars,Jupiter,

Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

There are other celestial bodies in the Solar System: asteriods, satellites, comets and meteoroids.

TIMES ZOMES

The Earth is divided into 24 time zomes. A time zomes is each one of the Earth, 24 parts of the Earth, divided by the meridians. All places located in the same time zone have the same Time.

MAPS

A map is a representation of the Earth or a part of it. The science of marking maps is called Cartograpy. Everything that appears on a maps is represented by a symbol or a colour.

There are different types of maps. The most common maps are physical , political and thematic.
