• DNAx Technology™ is a novel mathematical methodology of generating analog waveforms from digital data. Its use can provide advances and benefits in fields of engineering as diverse as 3D digital imaging processing, radio communications, computer science and control systems.

• At Pulse Perfect Image Inc., (PPI), our ultimate goal is to produce a photo-realistic 3-D rendering platform. While the Holy Grail of graphics processing is a real-time photo-realistic gaming engine, and faster rendering process, PPI’s current focus is a solution that makes photo-realistic animation, and rendering practical and economically feasible.

Image Quality

• DNAx Technology™ allows ray tracing to be done by using of a group of rays per interaction of processing instead of a single ray per interaction of processing. This makes it possible to bypass the aliasing problem which plagues conventional ray-tracers and drastically increases the required number of computations. Using our Group Ray technology, the pixel color representation is accurate with fewer interactions. The result is a more accurate pixel representation, better scaling to higher resolutions such as 4k, 8k, 16k and beyond, and also allows for multiple views of the same scene.

The Uniqueness of our Approach: The DNAx Operator

• The DNAx Operator is a non-linear blending function, which is analog by definition. It converts piecewise discontinuous data sets into fully continuous & analytic functions, such that the properties of differential calculus can now be applied to digital data. By extending this concept to the realm of 3-D rendering, we expect to obtain much faster rendering performance and improved scene quality as compared to the existing state of the art approach.

Timing & Results Precision:

• The DNAx-based rendering algorithm uses symbolic mathematical computation. Current rendering algorithms rely on numerical floating point computation. The symbolic computational approach deals with exact quantities at each step, which prevents precision errors from accumulating. The fact that light rays are processed in groups, rather than individually, also eliminates a significant amount of computational overhead.

Data Speed Processing & Low Latency:

• By reducing the number of iterations required, the DNAx rendering algorithm makes it possible to accelerate complex rendering tasks, while improving overall image quality. The algorithm is also parallelizable, which allows for additional performance acceleration when implemented using targeted hardware.

2D Image Vectorization.

• The new technological proposition based on DNAx technique promotes the math-piecewise-functional representation. Different from the current technique of representation the proposed new DNAx digital processing will consider as a pixel, not a point, but a piece of the most suitable mathematical function for that specific application.

3D Image Digital Processing Path Ray Tracing, DNAx-GRT.

• The DNAx technique is applied to the principles of 3-D image modeling, texture mapping, illumination and visualization, reducing the number of iterations required for rendering a 3-D scene.

The Mathematical Innovation in few words

• For the first time, one can fully represent any 3-D scene or 2-D image without any non-differentiable edges. DNAx™ equation solves this computer processing-intensive task.

• 3-D scenes or 2-D images can be completely represented without non-differentiable piecewise functions, even on irregular surfaces.

• It is an alternative representation of digital data using analytic functions. Results are the same, via more efficient process. Results are much better via the same former process.

The Group Ray Tracing Technology, GRT

• The Path Ray Tracing Technology is valuable because it is rigorous.

• It is rigorous because it is a Physically Based Rendering software.

• It’s implementation will be highly efficient in terms of quality of image and speed of processing because DNAx™ Technology will introduce a high precise numerical stability over the algorithms determined mathematical operations.

• This never was the case in similar other software.
