AdX, ppi Media’s latest module, is a cross-media ad management system designed for the reservation of online, print and mobile ads. AdX has been implemented as a web-based system so as to minimize installation expenses. This provides you greater transparency along the entire sales chain and benefits your sales staff as much as your customers. Engineered to support sales apps on tablets, the sales team can now take the game right to your ad customers.

Intuitive and ergonomically designedThanks to this state-of-the-art web technology, AdX has both functional finesse and an intuitive GUI that

takes users by the hand and guides them through the program. A page dummy provides a simple visual over-view of current bookings for print, while bookings for online and mobile channels are depicted on a planning board. This combination can be found nowhere else on today’s market. This look & feel gives sales teams just the edge they need to quickly and confidently upsell premium cross-media campaigns. By using the quick recording features in HTML5, a media consultant can use his tablet to place the ad elements on the page dummy or online page structure. This lets him reserve available space and document impressions for the customer. Ad production is integrated when you use AdMan OnlineAlong with the orders supplied by the ad booking system, the ad order is also

available in AdMan Online. AdMan lets you call up specific programs such as Adobe Flash and Photoshop so that you can produce ad materials or file delivered ad materials in the digital orders folders. Even complex online design elements such as custom codes, user defined templates and combined elements are automatically filled with the required variables, made available as a preview and – once they have been released in AdMan – transferred via AdX to the DFP networks. By utilizing the AdX black box function, orders can be transferred automatically from IS-M/AM, the ad can be produced in AdMan and transferred to the DFP network without ever being directly worked on in AdX. No one else on the market offers greater use of automation throughout the entire online workflow.

Integrated booking processes/SAP-Inte-grationAdX works directly with the ad book-ing system. Orders can be entered in either system, increasing flexibility and avoiding repeated data entry. Via an SAP BAPI integration in AdX, you can see the price that was calculated in SAP IS-M/AM and offer discounts.

In the Order module in AdX, you can create orders independently of the ad booking system and supply production systems with order data. A standard Excel export function lets you send campaigns and their results directly to the billing department for invoic-ing. With ppi Media’s new CX planner solution, you can work independently of PlanPag and combine this order scenario to quickly and inexpensively produce simple magazines and corpo-rate publications.

Transparency through automated messagingYou can configure an automatic e-mail function to enter an order in the AdX booking window. For convenience, the booking window has been categorized according to planning, technical and commercial processes. Once an editor has com-pleted a task, an e-mail is automati-cally sent to the following step in the workflow. If necessary, the defined order of workflow steps can be over-ridden manually any time. Once an ad order has been booked, the placement-relevant booking information is then automatically forwarded and, depend-ing on the media, displayed in a print dummy or digital planning board.

Tried and true print ad reservationThe print view is based on the proven features in AdDispo/WebDispo struc-tures that are part of ppi’s classic ad reservation products. A dummy view

depicts all reservations, placement requests and confirmed bookings as well as the respective ad type. In addi-tion, the current filling level of ads for each page group is displayed, and you can check ad hoc as to where space is still available.

Modern online and mobile advertisingThe reservation area for digital media is made up of a large planning board with a calendar function and the web-site structures. A continuous timeline made up of a monthly, weekly or daily view indicates the allocation for all web-sites and their specific ad formats such as super banners, skyscrapers, etc. The section for mobile reservations is designed along the same lines. The allocations represent the various types of sales based on volume, confirmed or exclusive bookings. Different filter options provide a broad or detailed view of the selected data.

The new broadcast planning boardYou can use the new broadcast plan-ning board to store dates and durations of radio and TV shows. The sales team has a clear view of each show’s avail-ability and its ad types and therefore, can sell more effectively. It is irrelevant whether the ad types are to be used at a certain time or in a certain position. Both spots and product placements can be easily identified.

Automated ad server transferDirect links between different ad servers and AdX enable AdX to transfer various and combined advertising formats such as wallpaper and more complex flash elements to the ad server. This can be done either automatically or manually. Custom creative codes are filled in and transferred by AdX. Campaigns can be started and stopped from within AdX. In AdX you can monitor how a campaign is running by watching its progress. For

OMS customers, all of the information is created on the ad server in accordance with OMS specifications.

Monitoring advertising successAdX integrates control parameters from the ad server so that you can plan and monitor the ad’s success. This allows you to access the available ad inventory for the current month. These figures are then displayed in the directory tree of the respective page on the planning board. AdX also displays information from the ad server about ad impressions and ad clicks for ongo-ing campaigns.

ROI analysesROI analyses from publishing houses have revealed that expen-sive processes need to be stream-lined: According to these results, there is potential to save 28% by managing online advertisements and production automatically as well as a 24% savings by crea-ting online campaigns on the ad server and by letting AdX do the transfer automatically.You can then utilize these resources to manage running campaigns more effectively and to expand digital business in the future as well as to manage ads and traffic.
