From Moparmax; How many club members noticed that there wasn't even a President's letter for June? I have been on several road trips myself so far this year and more to come. This letter will review a few items, and update others, and discuss future events, mainly the Mini-Nats. Many of us went to the Mopar Magic show in Shreveport earlier this year. We had a very good show, and a good time. On the same date was the Cowtown show in Fort Worth. Only Patrick went. We had something like 10 entries for the Magic show. Next year we want those two shows on different weekends. The Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge events are in full swing. This season started with rainouts, but is in good shape now. The Kiepersol Winery road trip in conjunction with the Magic club was rained out. Before I could get that show rescheduled it was decided to postpone until early next year. Additionally, we hope to do another road trip some time to the Viper facility owned by Wayne Rauh, again in the Tyler area. On May 6th, our club met up with the Lonestar Region Plymouth Club in Hillsboro, at the Roadside America Museum. Thanks to Wayne Plets we had a good time, lunch, meeting, and made friends. This Saturday, June 24th, we are asking our club members to return to the same location for a 200+ car show. I have been in communication with Lydia and Chris from the Cowtown club. We hope to finalize a date in August to hold our first joint picnic for many many years. This cruise season I am sure that a lot of us have been attending shows, and the few that we want to suggest have been doing well. We are oh so close to rolling out the new version of our club web site. It will be more interactive, updatable more easily by our people, and contain accurate, up to date information. It will make it so much easier to communicate information to the club. Mainly, it will allow me to stop sending out all those emails, as everything that club members will need to know will on the web site. Tracy continues to handle our club newsletter. As mentioned many times, Tracy is constantly looking for articles, pics, anything to put into the newsletter. Bill has been working with Gabby on the latest club jacket. Jerry is working hard on this years Mini-Nats. There will be changes. It will be more streamlined, and easier for the judging, classification, and communication during the show. We will have the old food
vendor, and the sound system better utilized. Finally, for now, on the Mini-Nats, we will have a better experience for those who volunteer to help. Online registration will begin July 15th. Note; July 8th weekend will be busy. The Hemi Hideout event near Houston hosted bythe Cowtown club will take place. There will be a big car show in Sachse. We have our board meeting, and the next day is our monthly meeting. We have officially changedthe regular monthly board meeting to Saturday mornings. We found a fine new location to hold the meetings in Farmersville. And last, but certainly not least, we have many new club members, and I am personally again thanking Mr. Mike Boyd, and Mr. Ron Petrasek for graciously becoming board members with the club as Directors. Bob O. remains a Director. And Brad Buttermore, is now our official, first, Assistant Treasurer. Thanks for all your assistance this year so far. Thanks to Lee Elms for a lifetime assisting our club.
