Master Data

Define MRP controllers

The person responsible for a group of materials in MRP in a plant or company.

Material that takes part in material requirements planning must be assigned to an MRP controller.

MRP controller has to be defined for Materials for which MRP run is required. It can be a person or group of persons.

Define Checking Control

For a plant-order type combination we can define a checking control.

We can specify the following actions,

Whether an availability check is to be carried out (During creation or release an order)

Whether an availability check is to be carried out when we save an order that has been created or released

Which checking rule is to be used

What effect a material shortfall is to have on the creation or release of an order (error or warning message)
