What is MSDNAA?Membership program designed specifically to provide resources for Computer Science, Engineering, MIS/CIS, and IT departments in an easy, affordable manner Annual membership fee of $799 per department Membership runs from July-June or January-December

Primary benefit is a MSDN Academic Alliance Software Subscription Includes a special license amendment that enables departments to

load any number of copies of the products in this MSDN subscription on their lab machines for instructional and research use

May not be used to run infrastructure of school or department Students taking at least one course in the department may load the

software on their personal machines for use in their coursework and personal projects

Students do NOT need to take the software off at end of course

What are the Rules?

Software may only be used for instructional and research purposesMust be a department within a qualified accredited educational institutionOnly students taking credit or certificate courses in the department that is a member may download the softwareStudents must get software in one of the following ways: use e-academy to download software, download the software from a secure server provided by the department, check out CDs from a lab or library, or use the Student Media option (NA Only)

Department-owned secure server May set up their own system for students to download software

CD checkout system Lend students CD through library, lab, or other appropriate method

Purchased student media—Visual Studio, Vision, Project, Windows XP (Available in North America only)

Students get to keep media for small cost Ranges from $8.50USD for Visual Studio to $2.40USD for Visio

Bulk or individual orders
