The Smart Energy Saver for the smart people . . .
Introducing …
Power Saver for Air Conditioners
This Presentation is specially prepared for the Hotel Industry, Residencies,
Guest
Houses, Company Quarters, Hospitals and all the premises that use Air
Conditioning for
longer durations and it is a major component of the electricity bills
Other Equipment usually comprises of Individual Water heaters, Television sets, lighting etc.
This Presentation is specially prepared for you !
Three point benifit of Power Saver for Air Conditioner…
For Sustainability …
and personal benefit too!
For Energy Saving …
How is the Energy Wasted in an Air Conditioner ?
• Energy loss occurs in an Air Conditioner due to two main reasons.
a) Operating the Air Conidtioners compressor after thermal saturation point is achieved inside the room.
b) Excess Cooling due to Hysteresis / intentional 1 degree difference in set temperature and actual cutoff temperature.
Thermal Saturation Point : In simple words it can be explained as an occurrence of a state when the air
conditioners compressor continues to operate inspite of the room temperature not being able to drop further below
a particular temperature point. This point is the thermal saturation point of the room and it is always changing, and
never constant. ( Refer FAQ of PSAC for more details)
Thermal saturation can be explained with an ideal example of boiling water. The Thermal Saturation point of water
is 100ºC. Thereafter whatever heat is supplied to the water is wasted and temperature of water does not rise
beyond 100 ºC even if the Gas is kept on full power. At this point of time only a little heat energy is required to
maintain the temperature of water at 100ºC. Even if the Gas is turned OFF and Turned ON again in few minutes, the
Water achieves the boiling point in almost no time.
Similarly when an air conditioned room achieves its thermal saturation point, it is meaningless to operate the
compressor of the Air Conditioner thus resulting in increased electricity consumption. Sometimes faulty thermostats
also result in non stop operation of the compressor there by resulting in increased electricity consumption. Also this
prevents the compressor from going into infinite operation cycles there-by increasing the life and reducing the wear
and tear of the compressor.
Note: The Thermostat inside the air conditioner only senses whether the set temperature is reached. It does not detect
the thermal saturation point.
How is the Energy Wasted in an Air Conditioner ?
• Excess Cooling prevention technology.
Even though the thermostat is responsible for cutting off the compressor when the desired temperature is reached, it
always cuts off the compressor when the room temperature reaches 1 or 2 degrees below the set temperature.
This 1 or 2 degree difference makes the compressor work extra for about 5 to 10 minutes extra on an average in each
cycle. Such accumulated extra operation events results to about approximately 1 hour of extra operation time.
This experiment can be conducted and observed by any lay man, by placing a Digital Thermometer in the Air Conditioned
room.
This is the main reason, why we sometimes experience chills even if the set temperature is slightly higher.
Also Faulty thermostats/ clogged / dusty thermostats tend to create excess chills due to improper sensing mechanism.
How does the Energy Saver / Power Saver work ?
• The power saver for Air Conditioner is 100% designed & manufactured in INDIA by Om
Energy Savers.
•It primarily saves energy by adopting the two concepts explained in the previous page,
i.e.
A) Thermal Saturation Prevention Technology , including Thermostat Failure protection/
B)Excess cooling prevention technology.
It saves about from 10% upto 40% Energy depending on model or PSAC and other
influencing factors.

Special Secret Feature…..shhh !
•A common problem hotel owners / managements face is that the customer
sets the temperature of the air conditioner too low! Eg: 18ºC. This temperature
is practically impossible to be achieved in Indian climatic conditions , except in
extreme winters.
•A special secret feature introduced by Om Energy Savers, especially for hotels
, guest rooms, residencies prevents the the Air conditioner from operating
below practically un-achievable temperatures. Eg: below 23ºC or 24ºC.
•This prevents the compressor from going into infinite operation cycles there-by
increasing the life and reducing the wear and tear of the compressor.
