A vision for a better Philippines
OUR ADVOCACY
Are you happy with the way our country is being governed?
No? But do you still believe there is hope for our country?
Then you must also believe that
YOU have the power to work for change.
OUR ADVOCACY
In May 2010, you and I will have a chance to change our country
for the better.
But we must translate our hope and our faith into action.
We must make sure our voices are heard.
OUR ADVOCACY
We must work hand in hand with leaders who embody the ideals of
good governance.
If you share this advocacy, join us.
We call our movement the Power of Nine.
OUR GOAL
We need to inspire millions of purpose-driven volunteers
to join our cause.
We need to empower people to be pro-active participants
in the 2010 elections.
We have only 9 months to go before the elections. We need volunteers – hundreds of thousands,
even millions – now.
First, to raise the money we urgently need to support our advocacy.
Second, to protect our votes on Election Day.
How can you help?
STEP 1
Find 9 people who believe as you do.
Ask them if they would be willing to contribute P100 every month for the next 9 months.
STEP 2
Ask each one in your team of 9 to find another 9 volunteers who would be
willing to contribute P100 every month for the next 9 months.
STEP 3
Each one in the second set of volunteers will now find another 9 people
to do the same thing.
Let’s call this our Exponential Recruitment Strategy.

OUR REASSURANCE
Don’t worry. You will be dealing with only 9 people at a time.
Where will you deposit your contribution?
Through a bank, by text or online.Power of Nine accounts have been opened at
Bank of the Philippine Islands and Banco de Oro;and a mobile cash remittance service with Smart
for contributions by text is being worked out.
WHAT TO DO NOW
Start making your list of 9 volunteers now. Tap your family, friends, coworkers, colleagues,
Web groups, clubs, etc.
Call the person who invited you to join. Set up a meeting. Your leader should help you
with your initial meetings with your own 9 volunteers.
Energy and enthusiasm breed success.
Leaders should be in touch with their 9 volunteers at least once a week, to ensure that everyone stays motivated and is actively tapping other volunteers.
A good time to hold meetings is early in the morning before work, or after dinner.
This way, volunteers are spared the added expense of providing food.
In your own core group of 9, identify provincial core groups. Challenge them. Inspire them.
Visit them at least once a month. Identify and edify born leaders, and keep them
posted on the progress of the advocacy.
A regional meeting of the different groups should be scheduled once a month to show a snowballing effect. We need real numbers, not just money.
Remember, good governance and change should begin with YOU and ME.
Be enthusiastic and optimistic. Do not tear down those who do not share our vision.
Never use volunteers for purposes other than those we are committed to serve. Any action we take must
be honest and dignified and clean.
Hope. Trust. Believe. In a better Philippines.
