LIVE SESSIONS Live presenter Please note that, if you are a live speaker or chair, you will receive, in a separate email, the link to access the live session as a presenter. Each link is valid for the indicated session only.

Attendee Each streamed session will have a dedicated session chair who will relay your content related questions and comments to the presenter(s) and the on-site audience. The session chair will introduce herself/himself to the virtual audience at the beginning of the session. If you have a question or comment, write it in the chat window. Your session chair will relay it to the presenter and the on-site audience, either at the end during the Q&A part, or when/if the presenter pauses to take questions.

Awards 2021European PhD School Award 2021 On a voluntary basis, each participant PhD at the end of the PhD program can present her/his research activity to a qualified PhD School Commission during the Wednesday morning Live Pitch Session. All presentations (up to 5 slides, maximum 4 minutes per presentation) must be sent before July 5th to the PhD School email: [email protected] At the end of the Session, the “European PhD School Award 2021 will be assigned by the Commission, with a grant of € 1.000,00

Young PhD School Award 2021 Each PhD attending the 2021 edition of the PhD School, except the ones participating to the Live Pitch session, is requested to prepare a poster, in pdf format, of her/his research activity. For first year PhD’s the poster can be prepared with the planned project and activities. Posters must be sent before July 5th, 2021 to the PhD School email: [email protected] A dedicated Poster Area will be activated on Monday, 12th July, 2021 on the virtual PhD School where each participant (students, academic and industry representatives, member of the Scientific Committee) can vote one (and only one) of the presented poster. An interactive “Live Poster Virtual Session” is also scheduled on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday morning, poll will be closed and the PhD with the poster with higher score will be assigned with he “Young PhD School Award” with a grant of € 500,00
