WON’s Cross Roller Guide Way consists of the precisely ground raceway and the roller cage.The rollercage, in which precision roller are incorporated at right angle to one another, is fitted into to 90 v-grooved raceway machined on the race rail. WON’s Cross Roller Guide Way is compact linear motion system with high rigidity and high accuracy
as a kind of linear motion bearing with low frictional resistance, tight clearance &non-circulationmethod by big rollers with big contact-areas as a rolling body.Therefore, the Cross Roller Guide Way isbeing applied to a wide range of equipment, a computer and peripherals, several precision equipments,a tool grinder, automatic lathe machines, electric discharge machines, and slides used in X-rayequipments, to name just a few.

To ensure high running accuracy, the railmounting surface should be finished by grindingor a similar method, to a degree of equivalent toor greater than that of the Table. See Table 1

Press rails ①,② & ③ firmly against the bedand the table, while correctly positioning themounting surfaces.Firmly tighten the rail-mounting bolts. Temporarily fasten rail ④ to the table andmake a sure some space for inserting RollerCage from the rail ends.Position a dial gauge as shown in Fig. 3. Whilegently pressing the table, tighten Adjust Boltuniformly until there is no slack.Then, attachstoppers to the rail ends, and set the dialgauge to zero. Position Roller Cage at the center of rails asshown in Fig.4 Uniformly tighten Adjust Bolt byusing a torque wrench or the like, until the dialgauge shows the specified displacement. Then,the displacement showing on the dial gauge isequal to the permissible preload. Fully tightenthe mounting bolts within the adjusted area.Slide the table from the right and left andcomplete the installation by mounting theremaining A djust Bolt(ⓐ,ⓔ in Fig.4) and theTightened Bolt. at this displacement in the dialgage show the specified the permissible
preload amount.Tighten the mounting bolts atthe adjusted positions securely.move the tableto the side, finish the installation as tighteningthe remaining adjustment bolts ⓐ,ⓔ in thesame way.

Thesame kind of grease is recommended for thesupplement. We recommend to attach a cover toprotect a cross roller guide way as the below Fig.8in case that a lot of foreign matters or dusts enterinto a cross roller guide way and it is used in thekind of environment where is big foreign matteras like cut tips or sand.
Lubrication & Contamination Prevention
■ InstallationWON’s Cross Roller Guide Way should observe
the uniform pre-load and the mounting torque.When the pre-load is adjusted poorly and theaccuracy of the supporting plane is low, themotion accuracy deteriorates. This causesskewing and adversely influences the life.
■ StopperStoppers are provided at the rail ends to prevent
cages from falling off. A stopper for the tableshould be separately installed in outside.
■ One set of useIn WON’s Cross Roller Guide Way, one set of
WRG type consists of 4 race rails, WRGW typeconsists of 3 race rails for one set.The pair reciprocal tolerance between the
individual V-grooves is adjusted within one setand so, to combine the different sets may be afactor to deteriorate the life and the accuracy byreciprocal error. Therefore, installation should bepaid attention to these points.
