Poster Bodoni, was designed as a variant for posters, by Chauncey H. Griffith in 1929. Chauncey was an American printer and typeface designer. Other fonts he designed are: Bookman, Opticon, Ionic No. 5, and Excelsior. This font has skinny counter shapes that are cushioned by solid main strokes. The font was described as ‘simultaneously cheerful and has an impressive ambiance that’s great for advertising and signage. This font is a serif font, as it has small flicks on the letters. Serif fonts are made to be quite formal and old fashioned, and this font fits that criteria. This font is generally used for posters, signs and this font fits that criteria.
