The Blockchain Applications and Economics Forum, 8 – 10 October, held at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia gathered more than 350 participants from various verticals to discuss blockchain technology and its business use cases for the future in the 3-day event.

BOOTCAMP BLeslie Daniel Chan, Vice President of Singapore Bitcoin Club, carried out Bootcamp B. It was primarily focused on educating the media and stakeholders on the basics of blockchain technology in the current and potential use cases. CIO DINNERThe exclusive CIO Dinner, hosted in partnership with KADIN Indonesia and sponsored by Vision Group, was held in Bunga Rasa, a stunning Indonesian restaurant. The evening was an exclusive intimate educational & networking session for the VIPs.

KEYNOTE HIGHLIGHTWe are very honored to have the Vice Chairman of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, KADIN Indonesia to grace the Keynote address in the Main Conference on the second day, 9 October 2018.

DISCUSSION PANEL HIGHLIGHTThe main conference demonstrated many intriguing panel discussions that discussed on the potential of blockchain technology and its applications for the development of Indonesian enterprises. First Panel was moderated by Mark Davis, CEO, Tempow with Asia Pacific’s representatives, Daphne Ng, Secretary General, ACCESS SINGAPORE, Pandu Satrowardoyo, Secretary General, Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia, Merlina Li, Co-Founder & CommunitCommunit Manager, Indonesia Blockchain Network and Eddie Lee, Vice President of Cambodia Fintech Association, gathered their perspectives on the importance of Blockchain & it’s Legitimacy. Other Associations’ speaker representatives include, Jake Pang, Founder, Vietnam Crypto Community and Rennie S, CEO, Crypto Valley Singapore.Panelists’ represented from various international companies, such as, Vision Group, Novum Capital, Luno, Microsoft, IBM, BigBom & Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra Law were present to share with the audience on their experience in the Blockchain Technology Developments and Business Use Cases.

BOOTCAMP CBootcamp C was conducted by Tiago Alves, VP Asia Pacific at Aptoide, on ‘How Do You Start a Successful ICO?’ Tiago went over several important areas to focus on as well as what pitfalls to avoid. The legal implications and fund allocation strategies were also discussed to give people a much better understanding of what exactly is needed to carry out a successful ICO. It was a refreshing challenge to be a panelist for an audience hungry for information. It can be easy to settle into thinking

This was a well executed event, attended by a very enthusiastic crowd that filled almost all available seats. The blockchain contents were brought by a mixed combination of panel discussions and short presentations about various topics. Speakers from different countries allowed us to compare the blockchain landscape and the different approach each country is taking to this new technology. It's clIt's clear that we're still experimenting with new ways to do businesses, both established businesses and the new ones that aim to disrupt the former. We also learn that ultimately it's the real use cases that provide value to the society that really matters, not the hype of the new
