Maintaining a productive and efficient operation is challenging, even under optimal conditions. It used to be nearly impossible

if the plant experienced bulk truck or rail service interruptions. Fortunately, those days are over. Employees can maintain

high productivity levels even when interruptions occur, with the assistance of Cyclonaire’s PortoVeyor™ Bulk Bag Transfer

System. By having material conveniently stored at the plant in bulk bags, you are able to continuously feed the operation—

thereby eliminating supply interruption. The new PortoVeyor™ Bulk Bag Transfer System makes this simple, as the system is

designed to deliver bulk bag materials faster, easier, and cleaner whether used as a backup during supply interruptions or as

the main bulk transfer system in settings requiring mobile transfer options.

The PortoVeyor™ Bulk Bag Unloader is as its name implies – a portable option for

unloading bulk material bags. It features an efficient bag-splitting mechanism to

completely eliminate spills and capture nuisance dust when unloading free-flowing

dry bulk materials. The system uses a pulse jet dust collector that incorporates

our innovative 445 Technology, so dust is returned to the hopper for transfer and

particle emissions are held to a minimum.

Its unique skid-mounted design allows the system to move easily into place to

transfer products from bulk bags into storage silos or processing equipment in

place of bulk trucks or rail cars. Once bulk service resumes, it is simple and

hassle-free to return the PortoVeyor™ to storage until it is needed again.

Furthermore, the system is built for durability. Its carbon steel construction can

easily handle the demands of unloading two- and three-ton bulk bags. A stainless

steel design is also available for applications in sanitary settings, such as food

processing.

Every PortoVeyor™ Bulk Transfer System is self-contained and includes a

receiving hopper, pulse jet dust collector, blower package, and motor-driven rotary

valve. An electric hoist that enables safe and accurate positioning over the hopper is

also available as an option. Other optional equipment includes load cells for weigh/

batching and a bag carrier.

Efficiency & Safety

The PortoVeyor™ Bulk Transfer System offers many efficiency features in its standard

configuration. Each system is customizable with a blower package to fit a variety of

transfer applications. Its motor-driven heavy-duty rotary valve performs exact metering

of material into the convey line to ensure the proper mixture of air and material during

transfer.

Safety is designed into the system. A bag splitter automatically pierces the bulk bag

instead of putting employees in a potentially unsafe situation. The system also uses

NEMA 4 controls, which ensures safe operation in all kinds of weather and environments.

The PortoVeyor™ Bulk Transfer System electrical requirements are 230/460 VAC, 50-60 Hz

for motors on the rotary valve and blower packages. A 110 VAC, 50-60 Hz is needed if the

optional electric hoist is purchased and finally, the system’s air requirements are 90-100

PSIG @ 3-5 SCFM for dust control.

The PortoVeyor™ Bulk Transfer System is designed for portability and durability. Whether

used as a replacement when bulk or rail delivery is interrupted, or in settings that require

mobility, users can count on experiencing reliable operation from a ruggedly built,

self-contained system.
