The Arrow&Branch name pays homage to the Contursi Family’s success in the rare coin business, U.S. coinage and Americana. Found on the reverse of most United States coinage is an eagle holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons. This design signifies the United States as a peace-loving nation and country’s ability to defend itself if that peace and freedom should be compromised.

AZUR Elan and Julien Fayard founded Azur, the first premium "methode provençale" California rosé, with the 2007 vintage. They became the first producer to bring the true and authentic provençale technique of rosé wine production to the United States. Azur rosé is comprised of grapes selected and harvested for dedicated rosé wine production. Rosé is in Julien's blood, with a family that has been making rosé in Provence for over fifty years. His goal is to bring his family’s traditions and techniques to California and have Azur be considered the gold standard rosé of California.

BAND OF VINTNERS Band of Vintners is the outcome of seven wine industry friends who regularly get together to taste wine and talk shop. The collective “insider” knowledge of where the best fruit can be sourced, where the deals can be found, and where favors can be called in when needed, was contagious, and surprised even us. The outcome, is a wine we believe makes a strong case for one of the best QPRs in the Napa Valley, and something we’re proud to share with our friends, family, and neighbors.

CASINO MINE RANCH UNEARTHING THE UNEXPECTED. Casino Mine Ranch is an estate vineyard located in the Sierra foothills of Amador County. The winery, a century-old ranch that was once mined for gold, is owned and managed by fourth-generation California brothers, Jim and Rich Merryman. The vineyard is planted and farmed to best harness the potential of the site, through thoughtfully selected grape varietals. In keeping with the family’s pioneering spirit, the Merryman’s partnered with the highly acclaimed winemaking team of Andy Erickson and Jessica Tarpy who share a passion for great wines from special sites. CORNELL VINEYARDS Eighteen years ago on the top of Spring Mountain, Henry and Vanessa Cornell purchased a plot of rugged, untamed ground on a former stagecoach route where vines had been tended by early settlers. With respect for the land foremost in their minds, they returned the rolling hillsides to vineyards. Two hundred wild acres with sweeping views contain twenty acres of obsessively farmed vineyard blocks, each with its own distinctive imprint. Under the guidance of winemakers Françoise Peschon and Elizabeth Tangney, Cornell Vineyards strives to make a Cabernet Sauvignon that is faithful to the diversity of this impressive land.

COVERT ESTATE Our winemaking starts in the vineyard located in the heart of Coombsville. We view the winery as a tool for capturing in the bottle what the vineyard provides for us. Using traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques adapted to the site, there is a balance of both French and California winemaking culture. The winemaking for the Grand Cru’s of Bordeaux has been established by many generations of winemakers. Julien Fayard carries that philosophy, experience and tradition with him into the cellar to capture the best of what the fruit has to offer. The more intimately we stay connected to the vineyard, the less we manipulate the wine.

EN TIRAGE Don Baumhefner is a legend to those in the know. Today he is best known for producing sparkling wine in the Petaluma Gap region of Sonoma County, but his story is quite unique. In the early 1990’s he helped establish specialty wine shops and restaurants and is also credited with training Dan Kosta (Kosta-Browne) at his first sommelier job at John Ash Co. His expertise encompasses all aspects of the wine industry, but in recent years his passion for lees aged bubbles has directed his efforts to develop a wine and philosophy that is En Tirage.

JEAN PIERRE LAUNOIS Belonging to the Launois family for three generations, Champagne Jean-Pierre Launois is today a winery that retains traditional values while evolving with the times. Jean Pierre Launois, with his son Julien, carry on the family tradition as stewards of the family vineyard, located in the Grand Cru village of Mesnil sur Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.

JONES FAMILY VINEYARDS The Jones Family Vineyards are located on a south facing hillside between St. Helena and Calistoga in the Northern Napa Valley. The vineyard's location provides the ideal combination of soil and climate for the development of Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown and vineyard manager Jim Barbour work together to maximize the potential of the location and produce outstanding wines that will continue to mature and gain complexity over the years.

KEEVER VINEYARDS Keever Vineyards is a small family owned and operated winery in Yountville, in the Napa Valley. And when we say family owned and operated, we mean it. On any given day there are between two and four Keevers on site. During fruit processing, we get aunts and uncles in too. Our first vintage was 2002 when we made 46 cases. A few years later, the Keever brand had achieved some moderate recognition, and based on that we decided to build our winery and dig our cave. Keever Vineyards currently produces around 2,000 cases annually.

KESNER WINES Kesner Wines was formed in 2002, during Jason Kesner’s tenure managing Hudson Vineyards in Carneros. Growing fruit for many of the top winemakers in the country, and then sorrowfully seeing his year's work leave on other people's trucks drove Jason to stay up all night. The next year it was three barrels and the inaugural Chardonnay was released to some of the best restaurants in the country. It was the Highly Recommended Chardonnay at The French Laundry and has garnered that placement with every vintage since. In the summer of 2014, Jason was named winemaker for Kistler Vineyards.

LE PICH Purlieu’s sister label, Le Pich, gets its name from a Wappo Indian term meaning “golden eagle.” They are hunting birds, and you can often spot them above our vineyards as they soar, glide, circle and arc. They are beautiful birds — stately and impressive, but not haughty or boasting, with a nimbleness that’s inspiring. We hope that our Le Pich wines live up to the character of their namesake.

MATTHEW WALLACE As the 6th generation farmer of his family’s Napa Valley ranch, Matt Hardin has a natural appreciation of the exceptional place that is the Napa Valley. Matt manages his full-time work as vineyard manager and partner in Barbour Vineyards with his commitment to managing the family ranch. In 2013, Matt married Alicia Regusci and in 2016 they welcomed their first son, John Wallace. In January of 2018 they welcomed another son, William James. Together, they reside on the Hardin family’s Wallace Ranch where they run a herd of organic cattle and grow wine grapes used to produce some of the valley’s best known brands.

ONQ WINES Founded in 2010 by Steve Brady, a Napa native, and semi-professional musician, OnQ is off to an incredible start. With the hottest winemaker in Napa Valley, Maayan Koschitzky is crafting excellent wines that are receiving high scores from the likes of Wine Advocate and the attention of serious wine lovers across the country. Productions is small at 400 cases annually for the two different Cabernet Sauvignons and 100 cases of Chardonnay.

SHIBUMI KNOLL VINEYARDS

The concept of Shibumi, a Japanese word means “The pursuit of perfection through simplicity”, “Effortless Perfection” or Understated Elegance”. Shibumi Knoll Vineyards is a small knoll just north of Saint Helena in the heart of the Napa Valley. The Shibumi Knoll Buena Tierra Pinot Noir has become a superstar. It comes from a small block of Swan clone and is a beautiful and delicious wine. It has a burgundian style that creates a smooth, sophistication you’ll want to reach for with each meal. All of these wines are made at Tamber Bey Vineyards by Thomas Rivers Brown.

DESMOND ECHAVARRIE

By the time Des Echavarrie was 30, he’d accomplished more than many sommeliers achieve in a lifetime of service. He won the Chaine des Rotisseurs Best Young Sommelier U.S. competition in 2004 at age 22 and the U.S. Top New Somm competition in 2011. In 2011, he took a position at The French Laundry and passed the MS exam the following year becoming the 197th person to earn the title of Master Sommelier. After a year spent as senior wine advisor for rare

wine merchant Soutirage, Des was ready to work on the producer side of the equation and joined Realm Cellars as Director of Sales in 2014. Successfully managing both wholesale and direct sales at Realm for several years gave Des the experience and confidence to embark on his own entrepreneurial endeavor. He launched Scale Wine Group in August of 2016 with a mission to help small dynamic wineries elevate their brand through wholesale strategy.

BRYAN LIPA

As partner in Scale, Bryan brings more than 16 years of experience in hospitality management and a decade of knowledge purchasing wine for luxury hotels and restaurants. Prior to joining Scale Wine Group, Bryan served as the National Sales Director for Staglin Family Vineyard. In this role, he increased FOB sales in 45 national and international markets by identifying the best partners for distribution, developing unique marketing programs, and strengthening top tier account relationships. Bryan was also a member of the sommelier team at Thomas Keller’s three-star Michelin restaurant, The

French Laundry, in Yountville, whose wine list is recognized with a Grand Award, the highest honor from Wine Spectator. Bryan is a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri—St. Louis.

WILLIAM DALE

An intrepid road warrior with Napa Valley roots. In his role as Director of Sales at Scale Wine Group, Will brings more than a decade of national sales experience and a proven track record for giving a voice to family owned wineries from Napa and Sonoma. He excels at building the right relationships with distributors and accounts to promote small dynamic brands through restaurant and retail placements. Having held various positions in the wine and hospitality field since high school, William has developed an incredible passion for telling the story of what makes the wines he shares unique. As the national sales manager for Barnett Vineyards for six

years before joining Scale, William built and managed wholesale partnerships that resulted in Barnett doubling their sales in several key markets. He successfully launched new markets for the brand, while strengthening existing distributor partnerships building a network of exceptional wholesale representation. His career in the wine world began with Trefethen Family Vineyards, where he hosted guest tastings, focused on direct to consumer wine sales, hospitality and events. Following several years with the Trefethen family, William transitioned to Astrale e Terra, a small winery in the Atlas Peak AVA. A native Californian, William graduated from Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif. with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration—Management.

KELLY STETINS

Kelly's contribution to Scale cannot be overstated. As Director of Operations, she is responsible for helping build momentum for our wines while paying great attention to every detail of our business. Her diligent acumen and infectious conviviality allow Scale to operate at a very high level. Coming from a long line of hospitality professionals, Kelly started her career in high school working at the Country Club in Palm Desert where her father was then managing. Her love of guest service and club management led her to study Hotel Administration at

UNLV. During college Kelly helped manage Spanish Trail Country Club and the Stirling Club in Las Vegas. In 2009 she assumed a prestigious post as the Assistant Clubhouse Manager for the University Club of Chicago. Kelly now lives in Napa with her husband Ryan, a local restaurateur and sommelier.
