Bank Indonesia is a governmental institute which is the central bank of Indonesia. The institute has approximately 70 internal departments with over 5000 employees in all over Indonesia region. With such circumstances, they experienced tremendous growth of paper-based documents in their internal departments. They are lacking of empty space to store the documents, and they are facing a hard time just to find the right document in their piles of documents. They were challenged to fix the issue right away, since the paper-based documents’ distribution are overwhelming and considered is not efficient anymore. And so, they once decided to use electronic documents. They have tried to implement one electronic document solution to fix the issue, but somehow it didn’t work. The document management solution was left behind, it was a failure. The changing culture from manual to computerized was their major problems when they tried to implement it. In Indonesia, AXA has established 4 major companies, AXA Mandiri Financial Services (AMFS), AXA Financial Indonesia (AFI), AXA Life Indonesia (ALI), and AXA Asset Management Indonesia (AAM). With more than 10.000 sales persons, AXA has over Rp. 9,5 Billions of running assets and over 600.000 customers. With 4 major companies in Indonesia, AXA needs to manage 4 different systems to run their businesses. They realized that they need 1 centralized system and a standarized document management system. Beside that, they also challenged to make paper-less forms for their running systems. Analyzing the situation, Techpoint came up with an idea to address their needs to make one centralized system which is secure, scalable and extendable.
