Architecture - Expression of a Conceptual Idea through Spatial Experience

The canopy project was inspired from the experience of being under a tree. Using man made materials it mimics the natural characteristics of a tree through it movement, porosity, and shelter.

The canvas project serves as an installation for a fashion designer. The space is the canvas which allow the fashioner to display their work as pieces of art. The designer’s garments are behind the canvas, which people can interact with by opening zippers to view the garments.

The concept for this Newark in�ll project was derived from the characteristics of a dancer. The form of the building resembles the contours of a dancer’s body. The movement within the building correlates to that of ribbons used by dancers. A practice space pops out from the building’s facade, representing the heart and passion of the dancer.

The approach for the university gallery is to engage the public with the architecture at street level by elevating the building and creating public gathering spaces below. The gathering space acts as an outdoor gallery space that is created by the interaction of di�erent types of geometry.

Exploiting the truck entrance for seating

The approach for the university gallery is to engage the public with the architecture at street level by elevating the building and creating public gathering spaces below. The gathering space acts as an outdoor gallery space that is created by the interaction of di�erent types of geometry. The building draws the public in through these geometries' functions, such as a skylight cone showing hints of the interior galleries, an LED signal column, LED ceiling, and the auditorium space protruding out into the outdoor gathering space, which generates a visual connection between the two.
