Located between the Century Link Field and the shipping harbor in downtown Se-attle, the site concludes the southern edge of a redevelopment plan along the wa-terfront promenade. It’s a perfect spot for a new basketball and hockey arena, as well as retail and hotel space. The concept of the design is to take advantage of the dynamic and lively location by creating a focal point for Seattle’s sports activity and leisure.
Taking cue from the Olympic Sculpture Park on the opposite end of the promenade, the site has a long strip of public green space that runs under the hotel and feeds into the arena, serving as an alternative entrance. The hotel itself intersects with the arena, creating a special section of hotel owned box seating overlooking the court. The hotel and retail/greenspace run parallel in front of the stadium, resulting in a natural public gathering space in the middle of the three programs. Through these design features, the site can join three distinct functions into one congruous center for public interaction and enjoyment.

HOUSE UNDER RAINFALL GUASCA, COLOMBIA
03
Located in the countryside of Guasca, Colombia, about 40 miles from Bogota, the site en-joys steady rainfall throughout the year. Using Colombia’s principle materials of concrete and brick, the simple single story design sits in a property with farmland and pastures for livestock. To take advantage of the rainy weather, the roof above the main living room is shaped like an inverted umbrella to catch the rainwater and funnel it through a filter and into a collection tank, where it can be used for the livestock, irrigation, and household appliances like sinks, showers, and baths.

This beach house is part of a development project for a club in Asia, a district south of Lima. Situated in an area where summer weekend activity is popular, this vacation home enjoys a direct view of the beach from the top of a hill. For this project un-der Martin Dulanto, I was responsible for many of the plans and detail drawings as well as presentation visuals and renderings using SketchUp, V-Ray, and Photoshop.

ASIA, PERU
Also part of a beach club in Asia, this vacation home is right on the shore, sharing a fantastic view with other members. The ver-tical panels on the facade act as a sun shade and allow for more available cross ventilation. The basement level creates a well in-sulated space during the summer, while still enjoying the sunlight through narrow windows along the top of the walls. I was respon-sible for the plans and detail drawings of this project, as well as some realistic renders using 3ds Max and photoshop.
