The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis is renovating all 27 golf greens. This renovation will take all greens up to USGA specifications for premium playing surfaces and manageable subsurface. The renovation will also improve drainage and lead to long-term quality performance. This off-season project began on 22 October 2010 with the Virginia Pines Course. After working on these nine greens, the renovation will continue with the Shortleaf Pines Course followed by the Ponderosa Pines Course. This will shorten the amount of time you play on temporary greens.
You can check the progress of the renovation anytime by stop-ping by the Clubhouse or by visiting us online at www.eus-tismwr.com/thepinesgc.phtml. Weekly e-mail updates are also available, just send an email to [email protected] and ask to be added to the Pines Golf Course email club.
Remember that membership has its privileges and as a mem-ber of The Pines Golf Course, you can play at The Eaglewood Golf Course at Langley Air Force Base at a reciprocal rate.
The anticipated time to have some of the new greens
open is June 2011!
