Skin by FINSK Spring/Summer 2013 Collection:
Skin by FINSK launched last year, and is the sister brand of established London-based label FINSK; well known for its unique architectural wedges and project shoes, which have proved popular with celebrities and bloggers including Lady Gaga, The Saturdays, Bryan Boy, and Susie Bubble.
The Skin by FINSK Spring/Summer 2013 collection embodies the classic FINSK aesthetic and brand ethos, withfocus on simple shapes, minimal decoration and detail derived from the functionality and beauty of natural luxury materials. The collection combines high quality leathers and wood, and skilled craftsmanship, with subtle yet directional shapes and flashes of bright colour to create a look that reflects London’s edgy but understated street style.
The Spring/Summer 2013 collection showcases a wide range of styles, featuring eye-catching pieces like court shoes with brightly coloured heels and EVA platforms, innovative yet practical wedges which transform from a boot toa sandal or mule, and everyday lace-up flats with a pointed toe. Also included are high heel sandals with platform and heels in colour-dipped stacked leather, and easy clogs with graphic laser cut fronts and wrap around ankle straps.
The colour palette spans cinnamon, soft grey and light denim blue, united with highlights in deep orange, pink, yellowand green. Extremely soft tumbled leathers and suedes are combined with glossy patent leathers, and natural finish wood with brightly coloured EVA. Raw edge straps are placed next to neatly finished folded seams, alongside chunky metal zips and stud fastenings, in keeping with FINSK’s contemporary style.
The Skin by FINSK Spring/Summer 2013 collection builds on the success of the previous two collections, andcontinues to develop its own classic look with a youthful edge, perfectly complementing the iconic designs of FINSK.
