Bridge Productions Spring 2012
Concept Statement Bridge Productions is located in Los Angeles, one of the most prime entertainment locations. The company produces videos and recordings for their clients needs. In order to accommodate their functions, the designer created a new construction building that includes a video stage, two recording studios, and a scoring stage. It is understood that recording and producing can include extensive working hours, so the designer wanted to include a couple lounge areas that clients and employees can go during breaks. Their clients will use the first floor for recordings and the second floor will mainly be used for the employees of Bridge Productions. A majority of the offices will be uses for editing the various projects that were previously recorded in the space and the cubicle area will be for the general administrative support for the company. The designer is aware that the atmosphere of a recording space can affect the outcome of a recording, so it is important that the clients are comfortable and energized in a studio. The contemporary space will include a cool color scheme, with white, greys, blues, and hint of purple. The designer chose furniture that is comfortable as well as aesthetically appealing. Overall, it was important to create a unique and engaging design while maintaining the priority of function for the company.
Goal: To design a commercial building at least 35,000 square feet for the 2012 Interiors Senior Exhibit at California State University, Fresno. Process: The designer spent a couple months researching production companies through textbooks, Internet, site visits and interviews. The designer then took that research and created a space that would fit the requirements of the project as well as the necessities of the production industry. Result: Just over 36,000 square feet, the designer created a space for a fictional production company based in Los angeles, ca.

Thomas Recordings Fall 2011
!
Concept Statement Thomas recordings are moving to a larger building to hold three recording studios, which will expand their capabilities as a business. The existing building was formerly an office so a majority of the walls had to be demolished in order to rebuild new walls. The space has three recording studios with one large enough to work with an orchestra. All the control rooms have a modern and relaxing feel to the aesthetics and contain the proper acoustics for the most beneficial sound quality. Functionality was the priority when designing the space. All recording areas and control room have enough space to contain the necessary equipment as well as provide comfort for guests. The rest of the building contains a conference room, offices for employees, kitchen and lounge to be used by studio employees and their clients. The reception area will be very open with white tile and windows with bold accent colors for furniture upholstery. The building contains an atrium with plenty of seating. Overall, the designed space will provide comfort to employees and guests as well as provide functionality for recordings.
Goal: To design a 20,000 square foot commercial building. Process: After much research, the designer had to modify an existing floor plan to occupy a recording facility. Result: the designer created a space that held three recording studios as well as made it aesthetically interesting.

AAA Boston Fall 2011
!!
!
Concept Statement !AAA of Boston had a very large and empty space that needed to be constructed into an office. AAA does business as an insurance agency and a travel agency. So the office space is designed to split the two divisions from each other. This adds separation within the building, without being completely inaccessible from each other. The mailroom and conference is in the center of the space, making it convenient for employees on both sides of the office. The restrooms and private offices were placed near the travel agency area with customers of AAA in mind. The general office area has shorter, three-foot cubicles to open it up so that employees can easily work together.
Goal: To design an AAA office with an existing floor plan. Process: After researching the company and Boston, MA, the designer created a space that would have easy accessibility to all areas of the office. Result: the designer created a space that was able to accommodate the employers as well as their AAA customers.

Vacation Villa Scopello, Italy Spring 2011
Goal:! To design a vacation home in Scopello, Italy. The project must be done in metric units. The living area should be open with the dining area. The space needed three bedrooms as well as an extra living space. Process: The designer researched Scopello, Italy and the architecture that is there. The designer had to research metric units and used a converter throughout designing. Result: The designer created a space that contained an open floor plan, while using metric units. The designer created a rounded kitchen with surrounding windows to enhance the ocean views. The terrace is located above the kitchen so vacationers can enjoy a 360-degree view of the ocean and surrounding areas. The villa creates a welcoming environment with its breathtaking views and clean, colorful design.
