Location:

My thesis project is located in the public park Seven Lake in Sárvár, a Spa town in Hungary. The park lies between the historical city center

and the local spa and wellness center with a 3600 m2 of total surface area of pools. The park serves as a promenade and free time activity

space between the two parts of the city.

Installation:

My intention is to locate a set of buildings in the pivot point of the lake area that fits in the natural environment and supplements and

organizes the present services, and improves their level.

It is perpendicular and in withdrawn position according to the road leading to the bridge.

Design attempts were made to affect the nature the least, so I designed a transparent “neutral indicator installation”.

Function:

Among the current functions of the parks, there are fishing, rowing and ice-skating (in winter). The local citizens and the tourists can also

find different sport courts and playgrounds.

In my designs I aimed to plan a service building, which can promote and complete the above mentioned functions of the park and -

because of its central location - can help the organization of the present and planned services.

Mass:

Each building is actually a glass box between ferroconcrete slabs, which attracts the arriving visitors to the interiors with the caught in

space, canopies. In the same time, this system connects the inner and outer space, thus this is one of its functions. In all glass boxes, there

are concrete boxes in which there are the service rooms, so we only see the main functions from the outside. When we arrive under the

slab, we see and feel that events there are taken place, services are given, and it is possible to move from one zone to another. When the

slabs meet the ground or leave the water the walkway’s spatial system comes to life. These slabs are held by steel poles and by blade

walls, which do not obstruct the view.

The most determining materials are the raw concrete surfaces, the sliding glass walls, which can connect the exterior - interior places andcan also divide them, the massive, solid building blocks, which are placed between the glass walls.

Rowing Club, Visegrád

Concept:

Leading to the Danube,the sequence according to the functions. At the arrival there is the reception, then the changing rooms, in the

middle, parallel with the Danube, there is the clubhouse and the parlour with a view to the river. Finally, on the riverside, there is the

boat storage. The building is hiding in the forest and stagger to the river while it follows the ground. The disabled acces is solved with

ramps.
