between jasubhai digital Media* and cMP**,

and was a fortnightly b2b magazine for it

resellers in india. crN is a globally recognized

channel magazine that leads in the us and is

published in 22 markets worldwide. in the us

alone, it has a circulation of over 1,15,000.

EVOLUTIONSince times immemorial, Indi-

an households relied on their family jeweler to provide qual-ity assurance.

The jewelers, on their part, had learnt the art and the benefits of nurturing an emotional relationship with their customers through generations.

Even if the customer had to wait for weeks for his jewelry to be delivered, he still preferred going back to the family jeweler.

Ishu Datwani of Anmol Jewellers reflects, “Earlier, Once the trust was established, the customers would not want to go to other shops. Even if it took time for design and delivery, they would ultimately come back to you.”

These were the times when the demand was low and competition was less or non-existent. In such an environment, the owner could pay personalized attention to his customers, build rapport and relationship, and over time, build trust and credibility in the local market. Once the trust was established, the customer never questioned the standard or authenticity of the jewelry delivered.

crN india websiteduring my stint with crN magazine, i created some microsites for the crN channel Awards.

subsequently, i designed the website crn-india.com from scratch. soon after the launch of

the website, a leading semiconductor enterprise gave the first banner to crN. i went on to

design animated banners and similar elements for the website.

After successfully designing the crN website, i designed an online daily newsletter

for resellers crN channel connect. i used to upload stories and images using our in-house

system in 2002. When i was working for Marcomm, i also designed few edMs (electronic

document Mail) for our inhouse magazines.

AdvertisingWhile at crN and digit, i’ve created advertorials and print newsletters for it leaders such as HP,

samsung, seagate and canon. i’ve also actively been involved with the digit contest carnival ad

(dcc), which was a complete client-driven content ad for special issues of digit. Although modest

in design, it demonstrates with capability to deliver volume in unrealistic deadlines.

during my Marcomm assignment, i attended training sessions on Visual communication. i

learned concepts such as trust-based Marketing strategy. My role was to strengthen the branding

(online and offline) of in-house magazines of jasubhai digital Media during january 2004 to May-

2004 and created branding ads.

cAresince crN india adapted the new logo of

crN us, our brand team came up with the

idea of educating the channel partners, i

was asked to creat logo which matches the

actual logo of crN us, i was able to do it

eventually, the original crN us logo was

designed by ex art director of renowned

esPN sports channel.

i’ve showcased 10 logos and icons on this

spread that i’ve personally worked on. Note the

typographical depiction of the numeral 10 by

the alphabets l and o – that’s design ethos...

is an active digit initiative. i designed the
