PROFILE

As an architectural student at Architecture and Design, at Aalborg University I am cos-tumed to develop projects based on the method PBL. During all major projects I have been working in groups, where I have ex-ploited the potential of this working meth-od and being part of creative teams. I have likewise developed several individual minor projects and the main project at my 7th se-mester at TU Wien, why I consider myself to have an independent approach as well.

The profile, at A & D, entails an introduction to different scales of design in the first two years of our studies. This means that I have been working with projects ranging from ur-ban planning, through architecture and in-stallation to industrial design. This has given me an understanding of the process of de-signing in cross fields of scales and an under-standing of the importance of taking these

different scales into consideration when de-signing any building. Since the 5th semester I have focused on architecture.

I am educated to integrate aspects as en-ergy, environment, climate and construc-tion at an early stage in the design process, equally to the aesthetics and functionality – with the aim to bridge the gap between the disciplines of architecture and engineering. At the same time I am passionate about drawing/modeling and have been taught the importance of thinking outside the box in search for creative solutions - why I pri-marily see myself as an architect ‘to be’, but with a certain knowledge about environ-mental and structural aspects. Most of all, I find that my education has provided me with the capability to mix an analytical ap-proach with a more intuitive/creative ap-proach to design.
