about me

I am a UX/Interaction designer by profession. I completed my masters in Interface Design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. I received my Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Inspired by the everyday experiences of ordinary people, I seek to understand distributed interactions in order improve and impact these experiences from the ground up. I am currently working on a C#, WPF based Windows application. My design interests include Usability, Interaction/Interface design. My other interests include rock climbing, trekking, traveling, and sports.

Work Experience • ProSoft EDV, Regensburg,Germany (May 2011- present): We are building a Human Ressourse planning and management product. I am currently working as the GUI Lead and front end developer. I am responsible for Interaction design, Wireframing, Prototyping and Front end development of our Windows based application. I work in an agile environment coordinating with developers, testers and stakeholders.

• Mindtree Wireless, Bangalore, India (Nov 2009-May 2011): I was part of a team which created mobile applications with world class User Experience. I worked as a User Interface Engineer, being responsible for Interaction design, Wireframing, Prototyping, UI Specifications and Graphical design guide and Design validation. I closely worked and coordinate with the Ux/Graphic designer, developers, testers and Product designers.

• InterComponentWare AG, Walldorf, Germany (Feb 2009- June 2009): I conducted a user study in the healthcare and fitness domain.I Designed and Conceptualized an iPhone application focusing on healthcare and fitness.

• Geometric Software, Pune (June 2006- May 2007): I worked as a Product Developer, was a part of a team working on development of user interface of a new CAE software, SimX.

The application was made for someone who is always on the move and is very active on social networks. The concept is to aggregate updates from various social networks and present them as one with consistent user experience. The updates from different platforms have different representation and are organised over a common timeline.

In this application the user can add his social networking contacts. If a contact has profiles in two different social networks then the user can combine those profiles. The user can view recent updates of his contacts or view uploaded albums. Navigation between contact list of different social networks is just a flick away. Its a comprehensive contacts application for people who have accounts in many social networks.

POC -Promotions manager and Advert tracking •American Express Duration : 1 month

The promotions manager was targeted at existing American Express users. It would help the users to store and make use of the different offers sent by American Express.

The advert tracking application would enable American Express to grow its costumer base.The application combines QR codes and media to track the effectiveness of different advertising mediums.The application was targeted at non AMEX users.The target audience needs a smart phone with a QR code reader installed which would enable him to get a good deal with american express.

PersonnelManager - HR planning and Management •ProSoft EDV Duration : 2 years 9 month

PersonnelManager(PM) is a Human resource planning and management product. It is used by Human resource agencies who employ professionals and subcontract them to companies. PM aids the agencies to keep a database, generate contracts, plan the next job of the its employees and much more.
