The BYU Adlab was selected as the agency of record for the TAP project in Utah. Our goal was to bring the people of Utah together under the worthy cause of saving the lives of children throughout the world. We extended the creative portion of the project to all artists in Utah, inviting them to portray a celebration of life and water through their selected medium: visual, music, installation pieces, etc.
Finally, something we can all drink to. Here’s to life.

Our main vehicle was a “drinking card.” In Utah, you have to be a memeber of a private club in order to be served hard drinks. During March 22nd-27th, you have to be a card carrying member of TAP to get water at restaurants.

Film: motion and graphicsWe created four motion pieces to promote the Tap Project. These spots played on 5 local television channels, spread virally through Vimeo, YouTube, and blogs, and played before every movie in theatres across Salt Lake and Utah Valleys.

Radio: original songs and adsWe gave Utah musicians the task of creating songs based on our cam-paign tagline and strategy. They went above and beyond our expecta-tions. After submitting their demo tapes, we got the musicians into the studio to record and master the tracks. Parts of the songs were used to open our radio spots and to accompany our motion pieces. The songs also made up our hour of content on tapprojectradio.org.
