Concord Stock SetEarly Concept Renderings
These are my initial renderings of one of my concepts for a modularstaging system that was to be rented by various clients such as
After the final concept for this booth was approved by ConAgra, I took Al Jesson’sdesign and created this engineering model using FormZ. This model was built to within 1/16” tolerances while in close collaboration with Production Manager Paul Heath. I was able to quickly and accurately draft the shop and set-up drawings. The following pages are some examples.
This concept isfor a modular booth systemintegrating with several display units thatalready exist. This configuration is only used once a year while the rest of the time the “towers” and kiosks were shipped domestically and internationally to various events throughout the year. The next page shows photos of an event in Europe. This was a challenging project that required obtaining product specs from several sources and integratingthem into the design concept, so that installation of those products was as smooth as possible.
This and the following page illustrate 3D art that I createdfor use by the graphics department of Nygard Dimensionsin a Power Point presentation project. All frames werederived from thumb-nail sketches provided by the graphic designer in charge of the project. All 3D frames are organized into one FormZfile using layers and views.
Cash SystemsCasino Kiosk Prize GameRenders for game screens
Recently the company Cash Systems developed an interactive kiosk concept that awards a pairof airline tickets once per day as a promotional piece to be used by casinos. Working
with Andrew Charon from ACME Digitallaboratories I assisted in the development of the interactive game by creating this model
and animations of the wheel spinning down to different results. Matthew Bergen, also with ACME, provided
initial concept sketches and the icon designsused on the wheel.
In order to gain more experience in interactive design, I took on this project to create a 3D interfaceof a self promotional CD-Rom for ACME Digitallaboratories. These six still frames fromthe the amination sequences I created illustrate my design concept for a mechanical device that changes configurations for the various sections of the presentationThis model will serve as a template for Andrew to place the data and images of ACME’s capabilities, services, and examples of design work.
Recently I have been working as a freelance designer for Atomic Props & Effects. They areknown throughout the country for their eye-popping 3D sign and billboard designs. Theserenders illustrate a design model that I created from product shots of the new PSP handheldgaming and video system.
Atomic Props & EffectsRipley’s Believe It or NotMuseum Front Signage
This interesting design was created to present for a possible location of a Ripley’’s Believe It or NotMuseum location near Times Square New York. This model was created based on a providedsketch. The tentacles were meant to act as support structure for the Ripley’s logo.
Atomic Props & EffectsTarget Mini-golf Hole
One of the very first projects that I did for Atomic involved this miniature golf hole that wasplaced in the Guthrie sculpture garden for an all summer event sponsored by Target. For thisproject I took the original concept design and produced this production model and shop drawingsfor Atomic’s shop. The following pages contains a couple of examples of those plans.

Billboard
For the rollout of the new Sprint brand image following the merger of Sprint and Nextel,Atomic Props was hired to create this billboard design for a New York location. The work-ing screen in this sign highlights the new streaming video capabilities available on newphone models. This billboard is currently up and running in its New York location.
Upon request sample animations of the interactive pieces in this portfolio can bee-mailed. A broadband internet connection is recommended.
