IntroductionThe purpose of this portfolio is to demonstrate my educational background, skills, experience,

accomplishments, and growth as a professional. In 2000, I graduated from Minisink Valley High School with an honors award. After graduation, I enrolled at a local community college, by the name of S.U.N.Y. Orange, to study Business Administration. While attending S.U.N.Y. Orange, I achieved outstanding grades and my name was frequently on the Dean’s list. While earning my degree, and in order to supplement my income, I worked for two companies: The New York Public Interest Research Group (N.Y.P.I.R.G.) and Consolidated Medical. This work experience has helped me to acquire many valuable skills, as well as providing excellent team work experience.

After receiving my Associates Degree in Business Administration from S.U.N.Y. Orange, I began to study at a few different colleges and universities in the state of New York, with an undecided major, before ultimately going off to Northeastern University to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree. While attending Northeastern University, I became a member of many different honor societies, including The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honour Society, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, and Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. I am also expecting induction into other honors organizations upon graduation. At Northeastern University, my name was frequently on the Dean’s list. I also received a grade of A+ in all of my writing classes, including College English Workshop, Writing for the Professions 1 and Writing for the Professions 2. Having just completed all of the required classes for a Bachelor of Science in Management degree, I will be graduating with highest honors and a cumulative G.P.A. of 4.0 on September 17, 2011.

ProfessionalismBy September 17th, I will hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from

S.U.N.Y. Orange and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University. I will also be a member of many prestigious honor societies and organizations. My talent, education, skills and experience have grown over the years; and I am seeking to obtain more valuable experience before going off to college in order to obtain a graduate degree.

While earning my Associates degree at S.U.N.Y. Orange, I worked for two different companies and I earned many valuable skills. First, I worked for N.Y.P.I.R.G. as a canvasser supporting the cleanup of toxic waste sites in the state of New York. My experience at N.Y.P.I.R.G. proved valuable, and I learned many unique skills. These skills include team work, working with the public and community, communicating in ways that appeal to the public and target audiences, generating ideas that attract the public’s attention and support, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. While attending S.U.N.Y. Orange, I also worked for Consolidated Medical in Newburgh, New York. At Consolidated Medical, I worked hand in hand with both the President and Vice President of the company. This work experience enabled me to acquire excellent leadership skills, organizational and interpersonal communication skills, and valuable experienced working with subordinates and constituents.

ProfessionalismBefore going off to Northeastern University to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree, I also worked at The

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. At The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, I gained many valuable skills working with the entertainment and media and industry. I also gained important experience working in fast paced environments that require high levels of team work, quick judgment and decision making, and excellent communication skills. I addition, I learned the valuable know-hows of what it takes to put on a good show or presentation, and how to keep the audience entertained and feeling respected and appreciated.

Currently, while seeking employment before going off to graduate school, I am committed to two particular projects. First, I have been contacted by Leah Schklar, a coordinator for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), to represent the NSCS at the Dave Mathews Band Caravan, on Governors Island in NYC, and to conduct possible interviews and synthesize an article for the NSCS blog. In addition, I am looking forward to working with the NSCS when future opportunities arise. Unfortunately, due to hurricane Irene, the Dave Mathews Band Caravan was postponed, and I will be attending the event when they reschedule. I am very excited.

In addition, I will also be starring as a minor character in the movie “Hard White”, which is based on a book written by award winning author Shannon Holmes. The majority of the movie has already been filmed. My scenes and a few other scenes are scheduled to be filmed in early September. The producer, Real to Reel Film Production, and the distributor, eOne Distribution (formally known as “Koch Distribution), are working out the details on a world-wide distribution deal for the movie. I am very excited about this project.

I successfully developed, organized, synthesized, and lead a project for the college course (MGT 2410) Project Management, receiving an A+ on the Project and an A + for the class. In addition, I also successfully completed two extra-curricular projects for extra credits in the classes: (MIS 3701) Information Systems for Management and (PSY 2100) Learning, earning A+s for both of the projects and A+s for the final grades of both classes!

Work in ProgressI will be starring as a minor character in the movie “Hard

This opening would also be an important opportunity for me to learn, grow and to gain some professional experience in the industry before going off to college to earn a graduate degree.
