Five Foot Way Magazine was founded as a platform for the exploration and discourse of Asian architecture. FFW Magazine owes its name to the distinctive architectural feature found in the shop houses of Singapore, Malacca, Penang and other Asian cities. The five-foot way is essentially public space on private land, where the boundaries of inside and outside blur and overlap. The name of the magazine thus reflects this quality where it is a platform for the exchange, interaction, and cross-fertilization of ideas.
